An old year has ended, a new year has begun. January the 1st was the feast of Mary the Mother of God, What a wonderful way to start the 2002.
Bishop Fulton has written as follows:
He is our Model, but He is also the Person of God! There ought to be, on the human level, someone who would give humans hope, someone who could lead us to Christ, someone who would mediate between us and Christ as He mediates between us and the Father. One look at her, and we know that a human who is not good can become better; one prayer to her, and we know that, because she is without sin, we can become less sinful.
As we study His Divine Life, seeing Him as the first refugee persecuted by a cruel government, working as a carpenter, teaching and redeeming, we know that it all began when He took on our human nature and became man. If he had never taken on our human flesh, we would never have heard His Sermon on the Mount, nor have seen Him forgive those who dug His Hands and Feet with nails on the Cross. But the Woman gave our Lord His human nature. He asked her to give him a human life (to give Him his hands with which to bless children, feet with which to go in search of stray sheep, eyes with which to weep over
dead friends, and a body with which to suffer) that He might give us a rebirth in freedom and love.
It was through her that He became the bridge between the Divine and the human. If we take her away, then either God does not become man, or He that is born of her is a man and not God. Without her we would no longer have Our Lord! If we have a box in which we keep our money, we know that one thing we must always give attention to is the key; we never think that the key is the money, but we know that without the key we cannot get our money. Our Blessed Mother is like the key. Without her we can never get to Our Lord, because He came through her. She is not to be compared to Our Lord, for she is a creature and
He is the Creator. But if we lose her, we cannot get to Him. That is why we pay so much attention to her; without her we could never understand how that bridge was built between Heaven and earth.

Mary treasured all these words and pondered them in her heart" (Luke 2:19). Again after the Boy Jesus was found in the Temple, we are told that "His mother treasured all these things in her heart" (Luke 2:51). Mary was a woman who valued the word of God, who treasured it and made time to meditate and ponder it. It is true that the holiness of Mary is attributed to the grace of God, but this should not make us forget that she needed to make an effort in order to cooperate with the grace of God at work in her life. She pondered the word of God in order to discern what God was saying to her at every stage in her life as the handmaid of God.
Similarly God speaks to us today through divine revelation (the Bible, the teachings of the Church, the preaching at Mass, etc) as well as through our personal experiences, if only we made time to reflect on them as Mary did. Whatever the situation in which you find yourself -- a hardship, a disappointment, a decision to make -- God has a solution, an answer that is right for you.
I am the Mother of God because I was chosen to bring God to men; I am your Mother because I have the duty of bringing to God those men redeemed by my Son and entrusted, each and all, by Him to me. I am therefore the true Mother of Jesus, and your true Mother as well.

We remember the priests, religious, bishops and cardinals, and also those that have become lukewarm over the year so that the Lord will touch their hearts once again.
Let us also remember Our Holy Father the Pope, Fr. Gobbi and Fr. Roux. May the Holy Spirit continue to protect them and keep safe!
May the 13th 2002 we will be celebrating 2 years online.......they said it couldnt be done well thanks to everyone it has!! It will continue with the Grace of God. I have asked Dr. Martin (Marty) to prepare something to get more members to join.

On April 3, 1860, the now-famous
Pony Express started in St. Joseph, Missouri. Before radio, telegraph or
telephone could bridge the 2000 miles to Sacramento, California, there were only
horseback riders to carry the mail, at $5 per half ounce. The trip took 10 days.
The next fastest way to send mail to California was by ship around the southern
tip of South America. That took 30 days.
An advertisement for riders, from 1860, read:
"Wanted, young skinny, wiry
fellows not over eighteen, must be expert riders willing to risk death daily,
orphans preferred. Wages $25 a week. Apply Central Overland
Express."
Perhaps an ad for participants in MMP Online Cenacles would read: “Wanted, women and men of any age to send messages of adoration, thanksgiving, reparation and petition to the Godhead by means of Our Lady’s Rosary and other prayers. The Cenacles can be at odd times of day. The rewards are mostly intangible. It will take time away from other activities. There will be little or no earthly recognition for you. You may sometimes be separated from other participants by electronic abnormalities. There is occasional apparent struggle with Principalities and Powers. Please join our Cenacles. The Blessed Virgin Mary is always present.”

Immaculate Conception of Mary. The Immaculate Conception is the dogma of faith
stating that the Blessed Virgin was from the first instant of her conception, by
a singular privilege and grace of God, preserved from all stain of original sin.
Not only is Our Lady free from original sin, she is also free from actual sin.
That is, she never committed any sin during her life, even the smallest venial
sin. Contemplate me today in the splendor of my Immaculate Conception. Allow
yourself to be enfolded in my light of grace, of holiness and of virginal
beauty. My dearly beloved ones and children consecrated to me, second my plan and
enter, all of you, as quickly as possible into the spiritual cenacle of my

to us and those that died during the year. Pope John Paul II tells us during his
Message for the millennium of the Commemoration of All Soul's Day dated
June 2, 1998 that: In praying for the dead, the Church above all contemplates the
mystery of the Resurrection of Christ, who obtains salvation and eternal life
for us through his Cross. (Tertio millennia adveniente, n. 7). When time of
purification is over, soul will meet its beloved.Our hope is founded on Christ's
sacrifice. His Resurrection inaugurates the "end of the times" (I Pt 1:20; cf.
Heb 1:2). The belief in eternal life which we profess in the Creed is an
invitation to the joyful hope of seeing God face to face. To believe in the
resurrection of the flesh is to recognize that there is a final end, an ultimate
goal for all human life, "which so satisfies man's appetite that nothing else is
left for him to desire" (Thomas Aquinas, Summa Theologiae, I-II, q. I, a. 5; St
Paulinus of Nola, Letters, 1, 2). This same desire is wonderfully expressed by
St Augustine: "You have made us for yourself, and our heart is restless until it
rests in you" (Confessions, I, 1). Thus, we are all called to live with Christ, seated at the right hand
of the Father, and to contemplate the Holy Trinity, for "God is the principal
object of Christian hope" (Alphonsus Liguori, Practice of the Love of Jesus
Christ, 16, 2); we can say with Job: "I know that my Redeemer lives, and at last
he will stand upon the earth; and after my skin has been thus destroyed, then
from my flesh I shall see God, whom I shall see on my side, and my eyes shall
behold and not another" (Jb 19:25-27). I therefore encourage Catholics to pray fervently for the dead,
for their family members and for all our brothers and sisters who have died,
that they may obtain the remission of the punishments due to their sins and may
hear the Lord's call: "Come, O my dear soul, to eternal repose in the
arms of my goodness, which has prepared eternal delights for you"
(Francis de Sales, introduction to the Devout Life, 17, 4). Vatican, October 7,
1998 -L'Osservatore Romano Our Lady tells us in the Blue book (481m. At the Hour of Your
Death) of how joyful must be the meeting of Jesus with those souls who are
presented to Him by his own Mother! This is because I cover them with my beauty, I give them the perfume
of my holiness, the innocence of my purity, the white robe of my charity and,
where there remains some stain, I run brightness which makes it possible for you
to enter into the eternal happiness of paradise. (481n) Blessed are those who die close to your heavenly Mother. Yes
blessed, because they die in the Lord, they will find rest from their labors,
and their good deeds will follow them. Let us continue to remember the souls not only this month by
throughout the year. We had 60 cenacles(see list on the bottom of this
newsletter) during the month of
November. Fr. Michael Gaughran will be going to Malta on November 30th and will
be conducting cenacles. Edwin and Tony will be going around, and Tony will be
telling everyone about MMP Online. He sent me the script they will be using and
it looks great. Thanks Edwin and Tony for persevering during this last year to
get your Maltese cenacles going, and we pray that your new Spiritual Director

From the time of the Fathers of the Church up to the Middle Ages we
find explicit reference to the freedom of Mary from sin from the first moment of
her conception. The Eastern Church as early as the second half of the 7th
Century celebrated the feast of the Immaculate Conception under the title
"Conception of Saint Anne."Pope Pius IX on 8 December 1854 issued the Apostolic
Letter Ineffabilis Deus in which he defined as an article of Catholic
Faith infallibly the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception. Pius IX condensed
the definition into the following single paragraph:
"To the honour of
the holy and undivided Trinity, to the glory and adornment of the Virgin Mother
of God, to the exaltation of the Catholic faith, and the increase of the
Catholic religion, We, by the
authority of Jesus Christ, Our Lord, of the
Blessed Apostles, Peter and Paul and by Our Own, declare, pronounce, and define
that the doctrine which holds that the Blessed Virgin Mary, at the instant of
her conception, by a singular privilege and grace of the omnipotent God, in
consideration of the merits of Jesus Christ, the Saviour of mankind was
preserved free from all stain of original sin, has been revealed by God, and
therefore to be firmly and constantly believed by all the
faithful."
Shortly after this dogma was defined Our Lady appeared to
Bernadette Soubirous at Lourdes in 1858 and described herself as the Immaculate
