Theme: "I AM SUFFERING FOR YOU"
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings from Montreal! Ceo and I arrived here yesterday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Everything went well on our trip. There was plenty of rain at times but it was sunny when we reached Montreal. I am living at Ghislaine`s home near Sherbrooke Street. I visited my sister last evening in Laval West and today I will start working.
I spent my usual half hour in prayer with Jesus this morning. He spoke to me saying, «Melvin, my brother, come near to me in my suffering. I am suffering for you to give you life, eternal life. Come stand by me as they nail me to the cross. Do not be afraid if I shout with pain when they pierce my hands and my feet with spikes. They have already nailed one hand and one foot and now they are getting ready to nail the others. OH! OH! OH! the pain as they pierce the other hand. See the blood that is flowing to wash you all clean. WHAT PAIN I SUFFER as they drive the nail through my other foot. My people, is there any pain greater than the pain I am suffering now? See what your sins are causing me. I willingly suffer that you may become the beloved children of the Father. I am about to die to take you out of the kingdom of Satan and bring you to my Kingdom of light, peace, and love. I am suffering My Passion for all of you but most particularly for the people of Montreal where you are Melvin these days. Many in this city have abandoned me but I still have many great friends here. Pray for the conversion of all those who do not believe me here that they may turn to me and be redeemed before it is too late. I bless you all.»
Jesus is suffering and dying for us again today. His sacrifice is eternal as He is the Son of God.He is suffering for all of us but especially for the people in this city. There are many holy and fervent Christians in Montreal. However, there are also a lot of sins committed here daily which are greatly offensive to the Lord. If they do not repent now the Father's hand could fall upon this city. Let us pray that the sinners will be converted and return to the Lord on their knees. May they fill the churches as in former times and come to receive Jesus in Holy Communion often. Let us keep Jesus company today as He suffers for all of us. Please pray that through my ministry here Jesus will touch many people. May He show them His mercy and love by healing their hearts and souls and their bodies as well. May He fill us all with His peace and love.

Theme: "DO ALL YOUR CHORES OUT OF LOVE"
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
In my prayer this morning, Jesus spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my companion and friend, I love you. I have a great friend of mine with me here. She is Therese of the Child Jesus, whom the Church honours today. She is a wonderful example to all the world. (We greeted each other). Therese is a very dear friend who spent her life on earth loving me. As she said, 'Jesus, my love! I've found my vocation, and my vocation is love.' She is that love 'deep down in the heart of Mother Church'. She was on fire with love for me and her life proves it. My dear friends, this is your vocation too. You are to forget self and forgive all who have hurt you in any way. You are to act only out of pure love for me and for all the people. Your relationship with me must grow as St. Therese teaches you. She spent much time with me in contemplative prayer driven by her great love. She expressed that love too by the work she did in the course of the day. Do all your chores out of love and they will not be a burden to you. If you suffer in any way, offer that suffering to me as an act of love. Therese was also very humble. You know that I love all those who are humble of heart. Learn, my brothers and sisters, to imitate St. Therese. I love you."
Many people today have a great devotion to St. Theresa of the Child Jesus. There is a life size statue of her in our parish church in Palmer Road. I greeted her every Sunday from the time I was very young and I always felt very close to her. It was a great joy this morning to greet her as she came to visit me with Jesus in prayer. Jesus gives her to us this morning as one to be imitated. Although she died young, she had already reached the height of sanctity by her little way of love. She tells us to do everything even the smallest chore out of love. Let us imitate her as Jesus tells us.

Theme: "THIS IS YOUR VOCATION"
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
I am now putting the final touch on my talks for Montreal and Ottawa. I will leave on Thursday, October 2nd and I will not be back before the 7th. Tomorrow will be the last message until October 8th.
I spent my half hour of prayer this morning with Jesus. He spoke to me saying, "Melvin, I love you. Let us climb the mountain again and spend time together. Let my peace descend upon you. It is the gift I give to my friends. In this way you know that I live in your heart. With my help you are ready to resist the attacks of the evil one. The devil is very cunning and the whole purpose of his attacks is to lead you into sin, to offend me. With my grace, you are strong and you should have no fear. However, alone you would never succeed against the devil. See the tremendous help you have as a Christian. You have faith in me as your Redeemer. My strength is in you to follow me. You have thesacraments especially the sacraments of confession and the Eucharist to help you. Our relationship through prayer keeps you close to me. In fact with all these gifts you walk with me daily. Use, my brothers and sisters, all the means I give you and you will advance on the way to perfection. You will defeat the evil one and one day I will welcome you in heaven. Offer all your sufferings in union with my sacrifice on the cross for the conversions of all the people of the world. This is your vocation as a Christian. I bless you all."
What joy it is to be together with Jesus on the mountain! Great peace and joy filled my heart as we climbed the mountain with its trees and vegetation. Jesus took me to this special place to talk to my heart. He showed me what the vocation of a Christian is. There is a daily battle taking place between the devil and each person in the world. The evil one will try in many ways to get us to sin against God. This is the reason for tempting us. He knows our weaknesses and he will attack us in those weak spots. Without the help of Jesus we will not be able to resist him. Jesus came to take us out of the kingdom of darkness and to bring us to His Kingdom of light. If we welcome the graces and power that Jesus wants to give us, we will succeed in driving off the devil and grow in virtue and holiness. The Lord has given us wonderful gifts to help us and He wants that we make use of them. It is only with these that we will overcome temptation. Jesus defeated the devil and with Him we will do likewise. We know that we all have our share of suffering in this world but Jesus wants us to join our sufferings to His for our own conversion and for the conversion of the world. If we are Christians, let us remain close to Jesus all the time. He is our greatest friend.

Theme: "I BLESS YOU ALL"
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
I was at Kensington yesterday afternoon for the Cursillo meeting and a large enthusiastic crowd showed up. I was back home at 7:00 P.M. John arrived back during the night. He decided to leave Shediac around 11:00 P.M. because he was afraid that they might close the Confederation Bridge between New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island because of the high winds. He is on the job now but working inside this morning. I will go to the Manor this afternoon for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist with the residents. I will also visit with my mother at the same time. On Thursday morning I will leave by car for Montreal and Ottawa and I will come back on October 7th. Please say a prayer that this trip will go well.
I was with Jesus and the Father in prayer this morning. Jesus spoke to me first saying, "Melvin, my brother, I love you. Let us go this morning to visit Our Father in heaven." I gladly said "yes" and Jesus took me to the large staircase in heaven and we climbed up to the Father's throne. I knelt before the Father in adoration. He spoke to us saying, "Welcome Jesus and Melvin and come and sit near me. Jesus, My Precious Son, My Beloved, your perfect love expressed in your sacrifice on the cross is always before me. I love you. Melvin, my son and Jesus' friend, cooperate every day with the graces He gives you. My children, it is because of my love for you that I sent Jesus, My Son, to live among you and be your Redeemer. He embraced the cross to save you. He showed you the perfectway to be united with me. Your sins caused Jesus great suffering and how I wish you would repent with all your heart and be my beloved children. Too few among you are following Jesus. Pray that the cold hearts of many will change and be on fire for Him. May the Kingdom begun by Jesus grow continuously in the world. My angels are with you to guard and protect you. I bless you all."
What great love Our Father in heaven has for each one of us! It was because of His love that He sent Jesus in this world to teach us the truth and to suffer and die on the cross for us. The Father wants us all close to Him. He wants us to cooperate daily with the graces that Jesus won for us. The Father calls us to repent of our sins in order to become His beloved children. He is sad that so few really follow Jesus. The hearts of many are still very cold. The Father wants us to pray that these hearts will change and be on fire for Jesus. May the Kingdom introduced by Jesus grow throughout the world. Today is the Feast of the Archangels Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael who are mentioned in the Bible.
We also have Guardian Angels who guard us and protect us from evil. These angels are sent by the Father to help us. Let us show the Father our love by praying fervently the Our Father and let us thank Him for giving us all a Guardian Angel. Let us also pray for the conversion of cold hearts.

Theme: "THESE ABORTIONS BREAK MY HEART"
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
I spent my half hour with Jesus and Our Blessed Mother this morning in prayer. Jesus spoke first to me saying, "Melvin, my companion and friend, I love you. Let us go this morning to visit Our Mother in heaven." I gave my consent filled with joy and Jesus took me to her home. She greeted us saying, "Welcome Jesus and Melvin to my home and please come in. Jesus, My Son, heaven is contemplating you who are the Redeemer of the world and the Son of God. I love you. Melvin, my son, I thank you for the prayer room which will soon be finished. I asked for a home among you and you have listened to my request and within a month it will be ready. I am coming to live in my humble place as your Mother. I know your sorrows and problems and I wish to be among you to help you. I also care deeply for your eternal salvation. I will bring you to My Son, Jesus.
Prince Edward Island is special to me. It is the only province or state in North America that is free of abortion. From this holy ground, I call you all to turn away from sin and dedicate your lives to Jesus. Work, my children, to stop the killings of my dear innocent infants. These abortions break my heart. Pray the rosary every day for the conversion of sinners. I love you all."
Our Blessed Mother gives the impression that She cannot wait for the completion of the prayer room. She will come to live there as Our Mother. What great love She has for us! She is always ready to listen to our problems and sorrows and to ask Jesus for the help we need. As a Mother She wants us all with her in heaven one day. Again today She speaks about abortion and how heavy this crime is on her heart. She wants us to work to end this terrible sin against innocent children. They are her children too and their killing breaks her heart. Let us pray every day that abortions will end in our country and throughout the world. Our cry should be: Let the unborn children live!

Theme: "I AM THE ANSWER"
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
I was with Jesus this morning as He hung on the cross. He spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my brother, come close to me as I hang upon the cross for your salvation and the salvation of all the people of the world. Be my instrument to give this message to all. My suffering and pain are excruciating. The pain especially comes from the flogging and the wounds in my hands and feet. The crown of thorns causes great pain to my head and breathing is difficult in this position. I am dying as a criminal although I have not committed any crime. I am suffering very much now and soon I will die for your sins. I have freely taken upon myself all the sins of the world to atone for them instead of you. It is out of love for you that I submit to this cruel death. Spend some time in contemplating my sacrifice today offered to the Father for you. See the malice of sin that it caused me such pain. Let my blood flow over you to cleanse you and make you pure. Answer my call which I address to each one of you to come and follow me. May your love blaze up to a great fire as my precious brothers and sisters. I am the answer to your searching for meaning in your life. Your heart was made for me. I am suffering and dying for you today."
What pain I felt as I contemplated Jesus on the cross this morning. He hung there covered in blood and in great pain. He tells us that it is for us that He suffered and died. His blood washed the people of their sins but we need to believe in Him and repent of our sins in order for the grace of His sacrifice to be applied to us. Let us accept Him as Our Redeemer and let us be sorry for all our sins. Jesus wants us to spend time with Him today contemplating His suffering and death on the cross. May our love for Him be like a blazing fire so that we may live only for Him. He is the answer to all our longings and shows us the meaning of life. Let us walk with Him today and be free from all that enslaves us. He is our life.

Theme: "YOU WILL BE THE DELIGHT OF MY HEART"
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
I spent time with Jesus in prayer early this morning and He spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my brother, I love you. My heart is full of love and mercy for you and all the members of my close family. My love for you is as deep as the ocean and as high as the sky. I love you even though your heart is dry and cold. I suffer when you turn against me and reject me but I have mercy on you when you return to me. This is the time for mercy. I will show mercy to all who repent of their sins with a sincere heart. When I return at the end of the world, the time of mercy will be over and it will bethe time for justice. You will be judged according to your deeds. Those who have obeyed me and followed my words will go to heaven and those who rejected me and followed the way of sin will be condemned. It is now during the time of mercy that you must strive to cooperate with the graces I give you. Come close to me and let us be friends. Be sorry for all your sins and in my mercy I will forgive you. Be an example to all around you. You will be the delight of my heart. I bless you all."
We have all experienced the mercy of the Lord. He is very merciful to us if we are sorry for our sins and promise not to sin again. In His mercy He wipes away our sins and fills us with His love and grace. St. Faustina is the apostle of Divine Mercy and it would be good to read her book which is nothing else but the words of Jesus about mercy. The present Pope canonized her only a few years ago. How can we wound Jesus by committing sins and not be sorry for what we have done? If we love Him we would want to please Him instead of causing Him more pain. Let us build a strong bond of love with Him and offer Him our whole life together with our joys and sorrows. May He bless us and shower us all with His love.

Theme: "JOIN ME IN HELPING THE POOR"
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Jesus spoke to me during my time of contemplative prayer this morning. He began by saying, "Melvin, my friend, I love you and I love all my brothers and sisters. There are many who suffer because of illness, poverty, loneliness or rejection. I identify myself with every person who suffers. I have great compassion for them. I fill them with my grace and love. You who have been blessed with good health, a job with money to buy food every day and are accepted by your community, I call you all to be charitable towards those who are not so fortunate. If you love me, you will see me in all those who suffer and you will help them. Everything you do to a brother or sister who suffers, you do to me. If you refuse to help them, then you refuse to help me. Serve that person as if you were serving me. I live in the person who is sick in bed, who has no food or very little to put on. I am one with the person who is crying out of loneliness and depression or feels rejected. You will find me in these people not in the homes of kings or presidents. I have a preference for the poor because theyrely on me and they know that I am near them. Join me in helping the poor. I love you."
Jesus' message today refers to His words spoken in Matthew 25, 31 -46. At the end of time, Jesus will return to judge the world and the criterion He will use will be the deeds of mercy that have been done for the least of Jesus' brothers and sisters. He wants us to love, help and serve those who suffer in our midst. There are so many people in our parishes who suffer in different ways and so often we are not aware of it. Those who need the love of the community are those who live alone and those who cannot go out. This is the work of the Christians to visit these poor and spend time with them every week. There are also those who are sick at home or in hospital and we should make sure that there are people visiting them. If we do not care for these suffering members, how can we say we love Jesus as He has identified Himself with poor people as these. Let us serve Jesus in all those who suffer.

Theme: "THE AWAKENING HAS STARTED"
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Jesus spoke to me in a very personal manner this morning and also has a message for all. He began by saying, "Melvin, my companion and friend, I love you. You were in Fredericton during the weekend with a group of my friends. I bless them and call them to a deep friendship with me. Now you are preparing yourself to go to Montreal to work in my name to reveal to them how I am working today. Teach them about contemplative prayer and about the desires of my dear Mother. I will accompany you and help you on these trips. I am calling every person to an awakening wherever they live in the world. So many people are far from me. They are lost, confused by the contradictory messages of the world and they do not know where to find me. Bring me to them and show them how they can remain close to me.
My brothers and sisters, I love you and I want you all to find me. I am the Way and if you come to me I will show you the only true way. I have given Melvin the task to spread my word in order to awaken faith in your hearts and to come and follow me. The awakening has started and how I wish it was blazing already. Begin to pray especially the heart to heart prayer, which is so dear to me. I am showering you with great graces today. I bless you all."
The greatest gift we can receive is Jesus' friendship. Imagine having the Saviour of the world, the Son of God, as your friend! He wants to have a deep relationship with us as our brother. If we accept Him He will make us part of His family. He is my greatest joy and the meaning of my life. It is true that if we love Jesus, we will love His Mother too. They were very closely associated during His life on earth and we cannot separate them now. Jesus gave Mary to be our Mother just before He died on the cross. Let us have a great devotion to her who always directs us to Her Son.
Jesus speaks of an awakening taking place in the world today. Yes, I see and hear about this awakening these days. In a number of places more people are coming to Church today than in the past. I hear of great conversions of people who were far from the Lord and now are close to Jesus and go to church regularly. Let us continue to pray that this awakening will grow. What is wonderful around here is that a good number of parishes have started Eucharistic Adoration. These parishes have chosen a day a week with the exposition of the Holy Eucharist. Some have adoration a whole day while others have adoration for one or more hours. We have perpetual adoration at the Basilica in Charlottetown and there is adoration in another parish for 6 days each week. All these are signs that the awakening is taking place. May faith in the Lord grow strong in our hearts.

Theme: "I CHERISH YOU ALL"
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
I spent a half hour in prayer this morning with Jesus and the Father. Jesus spoke first saying, "Melvin, my brother, I love you. Let us go this morning to visit Our Father in heaven." I joyfully said "yes" and Jesus took me to the Father's throne. I knelt in adoration before Him.
The Father spoke to us saying, "Welcome Jesus and Melvin and come sit beside me. Jesus, My Son, your perfect love was shown when you took upon yourself the sins of all mankind and offered the supreme sacrifice to atone for them. I love you, Jesus.
Melvin, my son, I love you too and I bless you as I bless all my sons and daughters. I gave you life and I envelop you in my Providence. I send my angels to guard you and lead you. Everything in the world is mine and I give it all to you. Jesus, My Son, came and lived with you to show you the way to me. Listen to Jesus, He has the words of life. Jesus founded His Church and She speaks in His name, listen to Her. Her work is to lead you all to me in heaven. Strive by prayer and good works to attain with grace eternal life. If you believe in me, I will live in your heart with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I love a humble and sincere heart and I shower you all with my gifts of peace and joy.I cherish you all."
Our Heavenly Father's words today are full of love. Indeed He has given us all we have. He has given us life and the gifts we enjoy. Let us thank Him every day for all He does for us. We live in His Providence and He gives us all we need. He wants us to listen to Jesus because He has the words of life. His teachings are true and we need to hear them for our salvation. Let us also listen to the Church as the Church was founded by Jesus Himself. (See Matthew 16, 15 - 19) Jesus built His Church on St. Peter, the chief of the Apostles and where the successor of Peter is there is the Church. The gates of hell will never prevail against it. In another words, the Church will continue until the end of the world. The Father says today that the Church speaks in the name of Jesus. We are called to pray and to do good works if we are to attain our eternal destiny. Let us believe in God and the Holy Trinity will live in our hearts. However, God cannot live in a heart full of sin. We need to repent of all our sins if we want our sins to be wiped away. The Father loves us and gives us all we need in this world. Let us be grateful to Him every day.

Theme: "COME CLOSE TO ME"
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
I spent my usual half hour with Jesus this morning in prayer. He spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my intimate friend, I love you. You always come and spend time with me in prayer every day. Oh! How I wish that all would follow your example and have a heart to heart talk with me daily. In this way they would come to know me intimately and we would have a deep friendship. My dear brothers and sisters, find time during the day to spend at least twenty minutes with me. It will be the most fruitful time of the day and the source of great strength and peace of heart for you. Just come and surrender yourself completely to me and allow me to do for you what I think is best. I will reveal to you my heart and I will fill you with my love. I am always there for you but often you ignore me and leave me outside. You do not even invite me in. How can I help you if you do not cooperate? I spent my life on earth for you and I am still working full time for you. My joy is full when you look at me and respond to my grace. I wish to mold and fashion you as the most perfect masterpiece of all. Will you allow me to do this? Do not be afraid, come close to me. I bless you."
Jesus speaks to us this morning from the heart. It is a plea to us not to reject Him but to cooperate with Him. He calls us to spend time with Him in prayer, the prayer He loves so much: contemplative prayer. He calls it "The Heart to Heart Prayer". We simply have to find a quiet place and a straight chair and sit in a relax position. We close our eyes and begin to repeat the name of Jesus until we are completely focused on Him. Then we surrender to Him and allow Him to do whatever He wishes. We simply absorb all His love, His peace and joy. We let Him be in charge for theduration of the prayer. If a distraction comes, we gently return to repeating the name of Jesus until the distraction goes away and continue our surrender to Him. We must not expect anything but accept whatever the Lord gives us. This is a prayer of the heart and Jesus will communicate in the centre of our heart. Remember He is free and be patient.
May the Lord bless you as you contemplate Him.

Theme: "YOU ALL NEED TO CLIMB THE MOUNTAIN"
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
I spent my half hour of prayer with Jesus this morning. He began by saying, "Melvin, my close friend, I love you. I am taking you up the mountain today to speak to your heart. Enjoy the peace and quietness of the place and see the beauty of nature. All this was created by Our Father who loves you intensely. People today are too busy with mundane things to admire and marvel at the things of the Creator. If they would only take time during the day to be with me and let me invade their hearts with the things of the spirit, what joy they would have! Open your hearts to me, my people, and I will fill it. I am the one your heart is longing for because you were made with a longing that can only be satisfied by me. My brothers and sisters, have you even taken a weekend to be alone with me. I call you to a retreat in order to renew yourselves and to appreciate what I have given you. You all need to be cleanse of addictions and ways of thinking that prevent you from giving yourselves completely to me. Attend a retreat to help you see me in a new light and to receive the graces you need. You all need to climb the mountain and be with me for some days. You will experience my presence and be renewed and refreshed. I have much to speak to you about in the secret of your heart. I love you."
Jesus' words this morning are addressed to each one of us. It is true in our modern world, we do not take time to appreciate and marvel at what the Lord has given us. I love to go to the shore which is only a few km from where I live and to spend time to marvel at all this water created by God. I love to hear the waves as they come on shore and recede again. What is particularly spectacular is the sunset on a cloudless evening. As the sun sets it is not bright and one can look at it for a long time. The sea turns to gold as the ball of fire goes down as if in the middle of the sea. Yes, there are so many wonderful things to see if we would only take the time to admire them. All these things were made by God for us to admire.
Today Jesus calls us to make a weekend retreat and to spend time with Him. We will learn something special and our relationship with Him will deepen. He says that He has much to teach us. We will be renewed for sure. Let us take these words of the Lord to heart and act on them. May the Lord bless you all.

Theme: "I LOVE YOU"
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
I spent my prayer time with Jesus and the Father. Jesus spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my brother, I love you. Let go today to visit Our Father in heaven." With great joy I agreed and Jesus took me tothe large staircase and together we climbed up to the Father's throne. I knelt in adoration before the Father. He spoke to us saying, "Welcome Jesus and Melvin and come and sit beside me. Jesus, My Son, I have glorified you when you were on earth and today I glorify you again as you sit on my right. Your great sacrifice on the cross is always before me. I love you, Melvin, my son, and I thank you for listening to Jesus and His Mother. I am showering you with graces and I am pleased that the prayer room will soon be ready. It will be a place favoured by me. There will be great things happening in that holy room so desired by the Mother of Jesus. Melvin, be channel for the graces and power from my throne. I bless all those who have volunteered their time to work on the prayer room. I also bless those who sent or are sending donations to pay for this holy place. Soon it will be finished and my power will rest upon it. My sons and daughters, remain united to Jesus, your Redeemer, and pray daily. Open your hearts and Jesus and I will come and live in you. I love you my children. I hold you all in my heart."
Great joy filled my heart as I was with the Father this morning. His graces and His power I can confirm in my own life. During the week I came back from Winnipeg, my sugar level was high. It went up to 14 and anything over 10 is too high. Even yesterday it was over 12. This morning when I tested my sugar level it was down to 7. It had gone down more than 5 points overnight. This has never happened before. It usually goes down a little at a time. Our Lady continues to work in a miraculous way in regards to the prayer room. I needed money to buy a tabernacle and all the vessels needed. I prayed to our dear Mother to help me find money to pay for all of these. Yesterday, I received a letter in which it was written that this person is ready to pay for the tabernacle and everything else that is needed for the altar. This person lives in Western Canada and surely did not know that I had prayed for exactly what is written in that letter.
I can only say "Thank you" to Our Blessed Mother for taking care of the needs of the prayer room. Let us thank the Father today for His gracious words.

Greetings on this beautiful first day of October, the Feast of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus. It is colder now in the morning but the afternoons are still warm. One side of the roof of my little house was shingled yesterday and I hope that the other side can be done today. After that John can finish the rest of the siding. The interior decorator came yesterday and she selected all the colours for the prayer room and downstairs. We will have panels on the walls of the prayer room with the namesof various virtues written inside. I hope I can order the ceramics for the bathrooms today. The doors for the rooms downstairs should come in today. Everyday the place looks more like what it is supposed to be. I will leave for Montreal early tomorrow morning and I will return on Tuesday, October 7th. I will send the next message the following day, October 8th.

Greetings on this fine sunny day without a cloud in the sky. The elections are over on the Island and Pat Binns is back in power with 23 out of 27 seats. I went to vote yesterday at Palmer Road Church knowing that the PC would win. John is back on the job this morning. He boarded the floor in the prayer room yesterday and now it is almost ready for the carpet. Today John will strip the roof of my house and reshingle it. Then he will be able to finish the siding. The interior decorator will arrive this morning to help us select the colours for the inside of the prayer room. I will have a man from Cape Cod, Mass. who is a professional painter to do that job. Our Lady selects them from all over.

Good morning on this dull Monday! It rained and the wind blew during the night but it is no longer raining and there is only a light breeze now. The hurricane which hit Nova Scotia last night only touched us slightly.

Good morning on this cloudy morning. There is wind coming from the Atlantic and it should hit Nova Scotia tomorrow. I hope we do not get much until the outside of the house is finished. I went to Summerside yesterday and I bought plenty of light fixtures for the prayer room itself and for the other rooms. John continued to work on the siding all day yesterday but it will take another few days before the outside is completely finished.

Good morning on this partly cloudy day! The month of September has been very special this year. We had many days of sun and warm weather and so far we did not have any frost at all. I thank the Lord for making it possible to work outside every day this week. The prayer room is all plastered and completely white. The outside walls are also turning white as John continues to put the siding on another side of the building. In another week the outside should be finished. I am going to Summerside this morning to get all the light fixtures needed and I hope to make an appointment withan interior decorator. Soon the prayer room will be finished.

Greetings on this beautiful sunny day! We are having another fine week with sun everyday. This month of September has been the best in many years. We did not get any frost yet and it is past 70 degrees (20C) every day. I thank the Lord for this fine weather. The workers will finish plastering the top and bottom of the addition this morning. Now it begins to look like a room and it is white everywhere. Last evening I was at the prayer meeting at Palmer Road Church and about 40 people were present. I celebrated Holy Mass for the group as I do about once a month.

Greetings in the Lord! We were supposed to have rain today but the sky is clearing and the sun should be out soon. It rained a bit overnight and there was lots of wind but it is calm this morning. The prayer room turned white yesterday as our great workers plastered the whole upper room. Today they are doing the basement. They expect to finish early tomorrow. With the plaster the dark walls are nice and bright. I hope to go to the prayer meeting this evening at Palmer Road. Today is the last busy day with plenty of people.

Greetings on this dark and cloudy day! The prayer room is starting to look like a building inside with the dry wall completely finished. Today a group arrived to plaster the walls. They will work today and tomorrow and then the last stage will begin. We are still trying to find out the best colours to paint this special place for Our Lady. I was at the Manor yesterday afternoon and I missed some of those who were always at Holy Mass every Monday. During the past week two of them passed away. One who prayed all the time died in her sleep. My mother, though, is always in good form and does not have any pain. She eats well and sleeps well.

Good morning on this cloudy and cool day. I am back from Fredericton, N.B. after a wonderful weekend and I met many lovely people there. Everything went very well during the three days. I arrived home last evening at about 7:00 p.m. I found that the workers had put up almost all the dry wall. They could not finish because they were short of some sheets. This morning they are back on the job as those sheets arrived on Saturday. They should finish everything early today. It is now beginning to look like a building with the walls hiding all the insulation.

Good morning! We have another super day with the sun shining bright in the cool morning. We can only thank the Lord for these wonderful days of September. The experts to put up the dry wall have just arrived and will work all day in the basement to do what they know best. I hope by tomorrow evening this job will be finished. I was at the prayer meeting at Palmer Road Church last evening but I could not stay until it was finished. I was called to the hospital to give the sacrament of the sick to a very sick person. I will be packing today so I can leave tomorrow morning for Fredericton, N.B. for a weekend on contemplative prayer. Please pray that this spiritual weekend will go well and that I will be able to go there and come back without any trouble.

Greetings on this sunny morning! The rain which we were supposed to have did not come. I do not mind as they can work without trouble on the Prayer Room. A good number are coming today to work and I hope the whole place will soon be ready for the drywall. It is a big job to get it all ready. The electrician and the plumber were here yesterday to check on everything and to make sure they did not miss anything. The large sheets of drywall arrived yesterday and it took them hours to unload it all. They placed some in the basement and the rest in the large room. I paid $3,551.90 for this load of material. The experts to place this material will come from New Brunswick on Thursday morning. By Friday night it should all be in place.

Greetings on another summer-like day. It is sunny and warm but there is a nice little wind. I was at the Manor yesterday afternoon for a visit with my mother and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. My mother is doing well and she enjoys coming to Holy Mass and answering all the parts of the Mass. I thank the Lord that she is doing so well. Today there is much activity here as the big truck has arrived with all the dry wall and they are unloading the whole thing. Soon the walls will be all covered and it will begin to look like a prayer room. The insulation is almost finished and it is being covered with the plastic. There are only two days remaining before the workers for the dry wall are here.
