Theme: "REPENT OF YOUR SINS"

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this beautiful sunny day! The clouds have all gone and we can thank the Lord for this perfect day. Last evening I was at Palmer Road Church with a large crowd of people to watch another video of Fr. John Corapi on the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Now this evening I will be back at the Church for the Way of the Cross and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. I will go to Alberton this morning to get a supply of the new book, "Our Lady of Prince Edward Island." I hope to go and visit Michelle who is still in the hospital. I will tell her that you are praying for her.

I spent my prayer time this morning with Jesus in His Passion. He spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my brother, come and join me here in front of Pontius Pilate, the Governor of Judea. I was brought here after a night of much suffering. My hands are tied and I am being led by two soldiers. Listen Melvin to the shouts of the people, "Crucify Him, crucify Him." Pontius Pilate finds no wrong in me but the people pushed by the Jewish religious leaders keep on shouting for my death. Even Pilate's wife sends him a message to tell him of her dream. She was told he should not have anything to do with me. It is then that he washes his hands in view of all the people and says, 'I am innocent of this man's blood. Look to it yourselves.' The people cry out, 'His blood be upon us and upon our children.' Pilate then orders that I be scourged. The soldiers take me to another room where I am beaten with whips and crowned with thorns. Blood is flowing from the many wounds all over my body. They come now with the cross, the symbol of all my sufferings for you and all my brothers and sisters in the world. They will place it on my shoulders to carry to the place of my death. My dear people, repent of your sins for they have caused me great suffering and death on the cross. I am going to die for each one of you. I love you."

Although Pilate washed his hands and said that Jesus was innocent, he condemned Jesus just the same. He did not release Him but gave Him to His executioners to kill Him. What a miscarriage of justice happened on that day! However, Jesus knew He had to die to save us. It is because of our many sins that He suffered His Passion and died this terrible death nailed to the cross. He calls us to repent of our sins for sins are very serious offenses against God. What tremendous love Jesus has for us that He willingly went to the Cross to redeem us! Let us continue our desert experience with the Lord.

I wish to let you know that I had another visit from Our Blessed Mother on Tuesday, March 25, the Feast of the Annunciation of the Lord. I will soon send you her words to me during her 24-minute visit. Let us thank Our Lady for caring for us, her children.

Theme: "MY LIFE IS TO LOVE YOU"

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning! It is another wet and foggy day. The weather is mild which means more snow will go again today. Last evening I was at the praying meeting at Palmer Road Church. A large crowd came although it was very foggy. The Holy Spirit was felt very strongly during the meeting. This evening I will show another video on the Catechism of the Catholic Church. I expect still more people to come.

I spent the time of my contemplative prayer with Jesus this morning. He spoke saying, "Melvin, my intimate friend, I love you. There is much fear in the hearts of many these days. The war is one of the causes of this. Another cause is the fear of the future. Fear is principally caused by Satan. He sows fear and confusion in the hearts of those who do not rely on me. If you come near to me, my brothers and sisters, I will chase away fear. Offer yourselves completely to me in contemplative prayer and let my peace and joy fill you. Love me, your Saviour, with all your heart and this fear will fade away and peace will be yours. Come and spend time with me in prayer every day and let my light and grace penetrate you completely. With me you do not have to fear for I will take care of you. See how much I have suffered for you. Do you think after all that I have suffered, I will abandon you? In deep faith, live in union with me and live fully for today. Do not worry about tomorrow. I give you what you need today. Live in my presence knowing that I am very near to you at all times. Give me your burdens and I will refresh you. My life is to love you for you are my dearest friends. I bless you."

We are all attacked at times by fear. When we have pain, we fear for our health. Some are afraid of the dark, others of their job, and still others of the future. We can worry ourselves sick because of this fear. Jesus shows us how to overcome this fear. We have to trust in Him. If we believe in the Lord and love Him, fear will go away and peace and joy will replace it. How important it is to pray daily especially this heart to heart prayer called contemplative prayer. In this prayer we surrender completely to the Lord and let Him fill us with His love. He wants us to live in His presence today. Jesus is the Son of God and God is love. His life as He tells us is to love us. He gave His life for us to show us this love. Let us open our hearts and minds to this love.

I am invited to Toronto, Canada, to give talks on April 26, next month. The church being used is the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, 237 Sackville Ave., situated between Parliament and Dundas Streets. I am invited by a Catholic group who have the use of this church for the weekend. My book, "Our Lady of Prince Edward Island" should come out this weekend. There was a delay due to mechanical trouble with some machines.

May our love of Jesus be perfect so as to chase away all fear.

Theme: "HAVE GREAT RESPECT FOR HUMAN LIFE"

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this rainy day! It is overcast and dark today but the snow is going fast. I was at the Tignish Parish Church last evening for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist on the Feast of the Annunciation. About 200 people were present as we prayed for respect for life and an end to abortion throughout the world. We rejoiced in the fact that the Son of God was conceived and received the name Jesus on the day of His conception. We rejoiced that Our Blessed Mother was chosen to be the Mother of the Redeemer. We proclaimed that we have to respect human life from the moment of conception till natural death. This evening I will go to the prayer meeting at Palmer Road Church, but this afternoon there is another birthday party for my mother at the manor. My sister and I will attend. The manor celebrates one day a month all the birthdays during that month.

My prayer time this morning was spent with Jesus. He spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my constant companion, I love you. The world these days is preoccupied with the war in Iraq. Already a large number of people have died there and many more will die before it is over. The only answer to war is prayer. Pray, my brothers and sisters, that it will end soon so that many people will be spared. This is the time to renew your resolutions for Lent and make fresh efforts to cooperate with me during this season of penance. Last evening a good number of people gathered in Tignish to pray for an end of another war, the war against the unborn children. Millions are killed every year through abortions. About 50 million unborn children have been killed in the womb in the United States alone in the last 30 years. Hundreds of millions have been killed during these years throughout the world. This, my people, weighs heavily on my heart. This is a continuous world war waged against the innocents. Pray that this horror will end NOW. My friends, have great respect for human life and defend it by peaceful means. I bless you all."

Jesus' heart is heavy because of the killing of the unborn. No war has ever been waged in this world where so many people were killed. The worst is that a vast number of people brush this away as of no consequence. They do not see that these are innocent human beings killed because their parents did not want them. They prefer to kill rather than face their responsibilities to love and care for their children.

Satan is the one behind this war against the innocents. Our Lady crushed Satan's head and she will do it again if we go to her. She will intercede before her Son for an end to these killings. Let us pray the rosary every day and one of our intentions must surely be for a end to abortion. Let us voice our opposition to abortion at every opportunity and let us support all organizations for Pro-life. However, Jesus tells us that we are to use only peaceful means. Violence is never permitted for it will defeat our purpose. We are to respect human life in all its stages from the very moment of conception. We are to oppose euthanasia by respecting life until natural death.

May the Lord enlighten us all to see that by receiving His name at conception, He was teaching us that He was a person from the moment He was conceived in the womb of His Blessed Mother.

Theme: "LET US HONOUR JESUS FROM THE MOMENT OF HIS CONCEPTION"

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on the great Feast of the Annunciation! It is sunny today and the temperature should climb to 8 C (47 F) which means more snow will melt. All the ice of the last month is now all gone and the roads are clear and dry. I will go to Tignish Parish Church this evening for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist for the Feast of the Annunciation. We will pray for respect for life from the moment of conception till natural death.

I spent a half hour in contemplative prayer this morning. Jesus spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my brother, I love you. Let us go to visit our Blessed Mother on the Feast of the Annunciation." I consented with joy and Jesus took me to her home in heaven. She greeted us saying, "Jesus and Melvin, welcome and please come in. Jesus, my precious Son, today we celebrate your Annunciation by the Angel Gabriel. Today you took upon yourself human nature in my womb. I glorify God today as we celebrate the feast of your conception. Melvin, my son, today your Redemption began when the Angel Gabriel announced that I would be the Mother of the Saviour, the Mother of God. The Angel Gabriel is with us here and greets you." The Angel said, "Greetings on this great day! It was my joy to have been sent by the Father to announce to Mary the coming of the Saviour of the world. Today through the power of the Holy Sprit she conceived a Son, the Son of God who will reign on the throne of David for ever." Our Blessed Mother continued, " Yes, we remember that the Son of God became man today, nine months before Christmas. The divine nature of God joined our human nature at Jesus' conception in my womb and at that moment the Son of God became the Son of man too. My dear children, Jesus entered our human history at His conception and He was given His name on that very day by the Angel. Although no one could see Him with the eyes, He was truly present and His influence was felt immediately as my visit to my cousin, Elizabeth, testifies. Both Elizabeth and her unborn child, John the Baptist, were touched by Jesus, just conceived a few days previously. Let us honour Jesus from the moment of His conception. I bless you."

The wonderful account of the announcement of the birth of Jesus is given in Luke 1: 26 - 38. The Angel Gabriel began by greeting Our Lady with these words, "Hail (Mary) full of Grace, the Lord is with you." Other translations use words of less meaning as "Hail, favored one!" The great words of the angel are these: "Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus." As soon as His conception is announced, His name is given. It is the name of the greatest person ever to be born in this world. He is the Son of God made man. We know that at conception a human being is there. Jesus entered the world at conception and He was seen with the eyes nine months later. It was the privilege of the Blessed Virgin Mary to be chosen as the Mother of the Saviour. Because she was the Mother of Jesus, she became Our Mother too given to us by Jesus Himself on the cross before He died. As we honour the unborn Jesus in the womb of His Blessed Mother today, let us respect all life from the moment of conception till natural death. Let us see the horror of abortion for that is what it is. It is the deliberate killing of a human being. Euthanasia is just as horrible because it is the direct killing of a human being, often those whom we refer to as the elderly, the handicapped, or the terminally ill. Only God has power over life and death. If we accept this then we can see that no government should condemn people to death. Capital punishment should be outlawed in the world. If we believe in Jesus, we will respect life in all its stages.

May the Lord fill us with joy today on the Feast of His Annunciation.

Theme: "REMAIN IN THE LIGHT"

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning on this overcast day! Some freezing rain fell overnight and this morning the trees are white in colour. This little bit of ice will soon disappear as the temperature climbs during the day. Yesterday, I was at Miminegash Church for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist and today I will go to the Manor for Holy Mass with the residents there. I went to the Manor yesterday with my sister to visit my mother. It is amazing how well she is doing these days. She knew us both and called us by name.

I spent a half hour with Jesus who took me to visit Our Father in heaven. Jesus began by saying, "Melvin, my brother, I love you. Let us go this morning to visit Our Father in Heaven." I said "yes" to Jesus and He took me to the huge marble staircase which we climbed up to the Father's throne. I knelt before God the Father in adoration. He spoke to us saying, "Welcome Jesus and Melvin, come and sit by my side. Jesus, My Beloved Son, you are the Saviour of the world and your eternal sacrifice is always before me. Melvin, my son, you are dear to me washed in the blood of Jesus, My Son and your Redeemer. The most holy days of His Passion, Death and Resurrection will soon be commemorated again. You will all relive these days in a very intimate and personal way. What love Jesus has for you, my sons and daughters. He offered His life in sacrifice for each one of you to pay the price for your sins. You are now my beloved children renewed and living in the light if you accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. I am your Father who loves you and I call you to live as children of the light. Live according to my standards in obedience and love of your Father who created you and cares for you every day. I want you all near me and closely united with Jesus. Pray for peace that it may reign soon in those countries affected by war. Remain in the light. I love you."

What joy it is to be with the Father! He is the Creator of us all and of the whole world, yet what is so important is that He loves us as a Father and cares for us. He reminds us that Holy Week is fast approaching when we will celebrate the great days of our Redemption by Our Lord. The Father wants us to be intimately united with Jesus in order to contemplate the great drama of our salvation. Jesus said that He was the light. If we live with Him then we live in the light. The Father calls us to live according to His will by following the commandments of God, the law for the children of God. The only way that we can show God that we truly love Him is by following His commandments.

Let us continue to pray for peace as the Father tells us this morning. May peace reign all over the world especially in Iraq.

Theme: "I LOVE YOU"

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning! The sun is shining bright and there are only a few clouds in the sky. Much of the snow melted yesterday as can be seen by the bare spots in my yard today. I will go to Miminegash Church for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist this morning at 9:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 25, is the Feast of the Annunciation and the Pro-Life organization will celebrate this Eucharist at Tignish Parish Church in the evening. I have been asked to give the homily so I will prepare for that this afternoon.

My half-hour of prayer was spent with Jesus this morning. He spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my companion and friend, I love you. The season of Lent is now well advanced and many of you are in the desert with me. It is in this spiritual desert that you will find your great need of me, your faith will grow and you will cut your attachments to material things. In this setting, I will be very close to you and our relationship will grow deeper. My brothers and sisters, you will have more control over your imagination and your tongue. You will be more conscious of me during the day and you will spend more time with me in prayer. The reading of Scripture especially the Gospels will be more meaningful to you. The time of Lent is a time to cooperate with the many graces I am giving you. It is also the time to lift the burdens off your shoulders and to enter into the freedom of the children of God. Yes, I will set you free from your sins and your worries if you give them to me. Come to Church to receive me in Holy Communion often so that your fervour and love may grow. Take up your cross daily and come follow me. Together with my help you will succeed. I love you."

We are already at the third Sunday of Lent. In a month's time it will be Easter, the great Feast for which Lent prepares us. Jesus wants us to realize during this season that we have a great need of Him. We cannot advance without His help and grace. Let us put all our trust in Him so that our relationship with Him may grow daily. He wants us to curb our imagination and our tongue so we may be more attune to Him and be conscious that we live in His presence all the time. Jesus wants to take our burdens off our shoulders and give us the freedom we crave for. May we all be free to follow Jesus with love and joy. He calls us to carry our cross with Him. He will help us to reach our destination.

Let us accept all the love that Jesus showers on us today. Let us remember those who suffer especially those in the war zone. May peace come to this part of the world as soon as possible.

Theme: "YOUR ETERNAL SALVATION DEPENDS ON YOUR DECISION"

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning on this foggy but mild day! A lot of snow disappeared yesterday and almost all the ice around the houses and driveways is gone. At this rate there will be no more snow in a few days. It seems though it will get colder tomorrow and we might get more snow. I was at the Way of the Cross and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist last evening at the Parish Church, Palmer Road. I received yesterday the beautiful gift of two crucifixes and two candlesticks for the prayer room. They are expertly carved. I thank the Lord for all the gifts I received from many of you.

I spent my half hour this morning with Jesus and Mary, Our Mother. Jesus spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my brother, I love you. Let us go to visit Our Dear Mother this morning, the day dedicated to her." I gladly consented and Jesus took me to her home in heaven. She greeted us saying, "Greetings Jesus and Melvin and do come in. Jesus, My Son, I love you and great joy fills my heart at your visit. Melvin, my priest son and Jesus' friend, welcome to your Mother's home. My heart is sad that another war has started and many will die and still more will suffer. Every war is evil because of the terrible destruction of human life and property it causes. May the Lord draw some good from all this evil. Sin and unbelief are the causes of war. I have come many times into the world to call you and all the people of the earth to accept Jesus and believe in Him as your Saviour. Leave your bad habits behind and walk with Jesus, My Son. During this season of Lent, He calls you to repent of your sins and to follow the commandments of God. I have visited you several times, Melvin, to let you know that the hand of God is raised to strike the earth if the people do not stop offending Him. Come back to the Lord now, repent of all your sins and pray with a sincere heart. Invite Jesus, My Son and your brother, to live in your heart. Roll back the evil and the darkness in the world by believing in Jesus and by doing good. I call you all to go to Church, to confess your sins and to receive Jesus in Holy Communion often. Join me every day in prayer to the Father and to Jesus to ask for their help for you and all those in need. Your eternal salvation depends on your decision to follow Jesus. May the shrine I requested be built soon as a sign of my maternal love for you all. I bless you."

Our Blessed Mother is sad because of the war that is raging in Iraq. Her love for every person makes her shudder at the thought of the killings and the sufferings of so many people as a result of that war. She knows that sin and unbelief lie behind such destruction. No wonder she calls us to walk with Jesus, Our Saviour and brother. She reminds me of her visits and her messages to return to Jesus and to repent of our sins. She wants us to come back to the Lord now because tomorrow might be too late. She calls us to pray and do good. She wants us to join her in prayer every day. Our decision to follow Jesus is very important because as she says, "Our eternal salvation depends on your decision to follow Jesus." She again calls for the shrine as a sign of her love for each one of us. She wants to have a special home among us.

May we listen and follow what Our Blessed Mother tells us today and become the brothers and sisters of Jesus by prayer and good works.

Theme: "COME AND SHARE IN MY PASSION"

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this wet Friday! It is mild today and raining with plenty of water on the roads. The snow is melting away and I hope soon we will see the green grass again.

I was at the Palmer Road Parish Church last evening with a good group of people to view the video of Fr. John Corapi on the Catechism. We had a good discussion afterwards on the various points he brought up.

I spent my prayer time with Jesus in His Passion this morning. He spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my friend, come near to me and keep me company as I am being mocked by the soldiers. We are in the early hours of Friday, the Roman soldiers have now blindfolded me and they come and genuflect before me and hit me in the face and ask mockingly, 'tell us who hit you'. They spit in my face just to insult me. They ridicule and curse me as if I was dirt. I am suffering the Passion and it will end with my death on the cross. My dear brothers and sisters, see what I have suffered to redeem you from your sins. See how terrible sin is, that I had to suffer so much to atone for it. I am your Saviour and I went through all this painful torture because I love you. Will you spend some time with me in prayer today? I wish to relive my Passion in you. Come and share in my Passion for your redemption and for the salvation of the world gravely affected today by the war in Iraq. Come to me and pray for peace and brotherhood among all the people of the world. Continue to amend your life and weep for your sins and I will forgive them. Follow me as I am on my way to Calvary to die in your place. I love you and I bless you."

During the early hours of Good Friday, Jesus was severely tortured and mocked by the soldiers. After flogging Him at the pillar, they sat Him down and mocked Him, making sport of Him. They played a game with Him. After blindfolding Him, they genuflected and hit Him with their hand or fist right in the face and asked Him to prophesy who hit Him. It is natural that we feel disgusted and horrified by what the solders did to Jesus. Yet, when we sin, we act no better than these soldiers. Jesus calls us today to amend our lives and weep for our sins. Let us spend time with Jesus today and contemplate His Passion suffered for each one of us. Let us express to Him our love and our firm determination to follow Him.

Let us continue to pray for peace in the world, especially that the war may end soon.

Theme: "COME INTO THE LIGHT"

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning on this sunny but cold day! It is suppose to get warmer this afternoon and it is about time as Spring begins this evening. I was at the prayer meeting last evening. A large crowd of people came to pray especially for peace in the world. Jesus is the Prince of peace. This evening I will be showing another video of Fr. John Corapi on the Catechism of the Catholic Church at Palmer Road Church.

I spent my time of contemplative prayer with Jesus who spoke to me saying, "Melvin, I am always with you, I love you. My heart is heavy this morning as I look upon the world. So many people are far from me and live in opposition to me. War has broken out involving various countries. A group of countries have decided to fight an evil dictator who does not want to live in peace but plots evil against his people and the people of other countries. Yet, I detest war and all the killings of the innocent. It also engenders hatred in the hearts of many. I do not want the death of the wicked man but that he turns from his wicked way and live. Pray, my brothers and sisters, that peace will be restored soon in the world. Peace is a great gift which I give to those who ask for it. How can there be peace when the spirit of unbelief is so widespread in the world? Vast numbers of people live only for pleasure and money and have rejected me. Pray that this spirit of unbelief will be chased away. I came as your Saviour to suffer and die for you. Only by believing and accepting me can you be saved. Live, my brothers and sisters, as Christians so that the my light may pierce your heart. Come into the light and chase away the darkness which is entering everywhere. Pray and fast for the conversion of unbelievers that they may live according to the purpose for which My Father has created them. Open your hearts to me so that peace and love may reign in you. I bless you all."

After my contemplative prayer, I listened to the news to find out that war had started in Iraq. I knew that to be true for Jesus had expressed His profound sorrow as I began to pray. The Lord is always against war because of the slaughter of many innocent people and the suffering it leaves in its wake. Jesus wants the conversion of the evil person not his death. He is the Prince of Peace. Yet there are evil people in the world and Hussein is surely one of them. He has murdered many of his fellow countrymen and he could kill many in other countries if he is not checked. Let us pray that this war will soon end and peace will reign over the whole world. Jesus is filled with sorrow for another reason. He sees the spirit of unbelief spreading in the world. With this unbelief comes darkness and the works of the evil one. He calls us to believe in Him and in this way we will chase away the darkness in our hearts. Let us pray that Jesus' light may spread everywhere. He wants us to pray and fast for the conversion of unbelievers.

Let us invite Jesus to come and live in our hearts today and we will be filled with His love and peace.

Theme: "BE FAITHFUL TO JESUS"

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Happy Feast of St. Joseph to you all! We have a sunny day here with a mild wind blowing. It is still cold. Yesterday it snowed off and on for most of the day. We have a new coat of immaculate snow for the feast of St. Joseph. I will go to the prayer meeting this evening at Palmer Road Church and we will pray for peace.

In my prayer this morning I was with Jesus and His foster father, St. Joseph. Jesus spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my brother, I love you. Today is the feast of my foster father, St. Joseph. He is here with me and he has a message for you and the whole Church." St. Joseph spoke to me saying, "My dear members of the Church of Jesus, the Saviour, I was chosen to be the guardian of Jesus, the Son of God, and of His most perfect Mother, Mary. My faith in God was the greatest help in accomplishing what the Father asked of me. My one desire was to do the will of God as perfectly as I could. I worked hard to provide the necessities for my family. I also suffered much moving from place to place to protect the Child and His Mother. My message to you is this: Believe in Jesus as your Saviour and Redeemer with all your heart and mind. Resolve to unite yourself to Him completely and to follow Him every day. Contemplate, as I still do, the Saviour of the world who is your friend, your brother and your God. Be an active member of Jesus' family, the Church, where everyone is a brother or a sister. Offer regularly with the priest the most perfect sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for your salvation and the salvation of the whole world. Be faithful to Jesus as I was faithful to Him. I always pray for you all. Melvin, you have been honoured by the visit of Jesus' Mother Mary, my most holy spouse. Continue to listen to her message offered to you to help all to find Jesus in the turmoil of today's world. May her request for a shrine in Prince Edward Island be granted her very soon. My dear Christian people, Mary is your Mother who loves you all, open your heart to her. With her I bless you all and pray for peace in the world." Jesus spoke these words at the end, "I urge you all to have a strong devotion to Joseph, who acted as my father on earth. I bless you Melvin, on the Feast of your Patron Saint and I bless all my friends."

The Church celebrates today its Patron Saint and points out the great faith that St. Joseph had in God. The hymn I used for Morning Prayer this morning gives us a wonderful picture of St. Joseph. It reads:

"Joseph, wise ruler of God's earthly household,
Nearest of all men to the heart of Jesus,
Be still a father, lovingly providing
For us, his brethren.

Saint strong and manly, chosen by the Father,
As trusted guardian of the Son eternal,
Guide us as once you guided Wisdom's footsteps
With sure direction.

Husband of Mary, loving and beloved,
Teach us the joy of love so pure and holy,
Warming our hearts with love for God's own Mother
By your example.

Saint of the dying, blest with Mary's presence,
In death you rested in the arms of Jesus;
So at our ending, Jesus, Mary, Joseph,
Come to assist us!"

St. Joseph points to Jesus in his message to us today. We are to believe in the Lord and to unite ourselves to Him completely. Joseph calls us to contemplate Jesus as he contemplated Him face to face on earth and now for eternity in heaven. He wants us to love the Church and be active members by going to Church regularly. He also expresses his love for Mary, his spouse, and desires the shrine Our Blessed Mother asked for on the Island. He talked about the turmoil in the world and he must be thinking about the war which will soon begin. He is a man of peace who knows that it is a gift from God.

May we take to heart the words of St. Joseph on his Feast Day and come close to the Heart of Jesus, so full of love for us.

Theme: "ACT AS MY BELOVED CHILDREN"

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning! We had more snow during the night and it is still cloudy this morning. It is mild but not yet summer. I was at the Manor yesterday afternoon to visit my mother and to celebrate the Holy Eucharist on St. Patrick's Day. My mother was very alert and she answered all the prayers at Mass.

I spent my half hour this morning with Jesus and Our Heavenly Father. Jesus spoke to me at the beginning saying, "Melvin, my dear friend, I love you. Let us go this morning to visit Our Father in heaven." With joy in my heart, I said 'yes' and Jesus took me to His throne. We climbed the huge white staircase and I knelt before Him in adoration. The Father spoke to us saying, "Welcome Jesus and Melvin and come and sit near me. Jesus, My Beloved Son, you honoured me every day when you were on earth. I love you. Melvin, my son, walk daily with Jesus and receive His messages for my children. Today a black cloud hangs over the world which will bring suffering and death to many. Let this be a warning to those who will not repent and instead offend me every day. Stop your evil ways and follow My Son, Jesus. Return to daily prayer and go to church every week. Melvin, it is with our blessing that Jesus' mother has come to visit you. Take her messages to heart. May the shrine she requested in her honour be built soon in Prince Edward Island. My heart is open to receive all your prayers, my children, for I love you. I have given you everything. I even gave you My Son, Jesus, who came on earth to suffer and die for you. He is your Saviour, believe in Him and follow Him. We will come and live in your heart if you welcome us. Act as my beloved children who will be united with me for eternity in heaven. I bless you all."

We will never fully understand the divine love of the Father for us for it is so great. Again today He expresses His great love for us all. The world is close to war and the Father expresses this by the black cloud over us today. He wants this to be a warning to us all to stop sinning, to repent of all our sins and to follow Jesus. Let us show our love for the Lord by praying daily, by praying the rosary every day and by going to church regularly. It is beyond me that Christians and Catholics can stay home on the Lord's day and not go to church. God Himself calls us today to go to Church to pray and to receive the Holy Eucharist. He also refers to Our Blessed Mother's visits to me and He says that He blessed these visits. We are to accept her messages and follow them. God the Father wants the shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island built soon. The Father has given us the greatest gift He could give us, namely, His Divine Son, Jesus, who came on earth to save us. Let us accept Him as Our Saviour and follow Him.

May the Father's call today not fall on deaf ears but be received in our hearts with love and let us act as His loving children.

Theme: "ARE YOU COMMITTED TO ME?"

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning on this cloudy St. Patrick's Day. We had some snow overnight but now nothing is falling. It is mild today around the freezing point. I went to Egmont Bay and Summerside during the weekend. Everything went well. We prayed for peace in the world but today it looks as if war will soon be on us. I visited some dear friends of mine yesterday afternoon who are just back from their holidays.

My prayer time this morning was spent with Jesus. He spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my brother, I love you. The world is in turmoil today as war is very near. I invite you, Melvin and all my friends, to come and join me in the desert. I called you to the desert at the beginning of Lent and I call you there again today. I am the one who gives new life and strength to my friends. It is in the desert that you are to shed the attraction to material things and the pursuit of pleasure. These things turn you away from me and weakens your will so that you easily give in to temptations. Joined with me during this fast and united to me in prayer, you will become morally strong with my grace. I was tempted by the devil while in the desert, but I rejected his temptations every time. You, too, can do the same if you continue your discipline during these forty days. Read all about my Passion in the four Gospels in order to become familiar with my sufferings for you. 'No greater love does a man have than to give up his life for his friends.' I gave my life in sacrifice for you because I love you. I am committed to you, are you committed to me? Submit yourself completely to me and I will give you life, my life with the gift of peace. I bless you."

As war is about to break out, Jesus wants us to commit ourselves to Him. He will give us the strength and the will we need to avoid sin and to follow Him. Let us continue our fast and our prayers during Lent which Jesus refers to as our stay in the desert for forty days. He calls us to read the accounts of His Passion in the Gospels to refresh our minds again about what He suffered for us. What great love He showed us by giving His life for us! Are we ready to submit ourselves completely to Him and to follow Him in good days and in bad days? Jesus wants us to join Him for our own salvation and the salvation of the world. Let us continue to pray for peace, peace in our hearts and peace in the world.

I will go to the Manor today for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist with all the dear people there. I will spend time with my mother who is doing very well this winter.

Let us remain close to Jesus in order to be strong to resist the devil and to have a deep and loving relationship with Him.

Theme: "BE LIGHTS IN A WORLD OF DARKNESS"

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this perfect Saturday with the sun shining bright in a completely blue sky! I was at Palmer Road Church last evening for the Way of the Cross and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. It was still very cold last evening but the warm weather is on the way and it is already in the Prairie Provinces.

I spent my half hour of prayer with Jesus and Our Blessed Mother. Jesus began by saying, "Melvin, I have redeemed you my friend, I love you. Let us go and visit Our Heavenly Mother this morning." I agreed and Jesus took me to her home. She greeted us saying, "Greetings Jesus and Melvin and do come in. Jesus, My Son, I remember your suffering and death for the salvation of all the people. You are my precious Son and I love you. Melvin, my priest son and Jesus' friend, you are most welcome in your Mother's home. My heart is sad that there are so many divisions in the world. Countries are preparing for war and there is so much hatred among them. Terrorism is the result of all this hatred. There is also great divisions in families and so many separations. All this leads to much suffering especially for the little ones. The world is becoming colder every day because of a great lack of love. My dear children, as the evil one is carrying many people away from Jesus, you, His friends, remain close to Him and ask Him for the grace to be always faithful. In this season of Lent repent of all your sins and do penance for them. Be lights in a world of darkness and bitter cold. Do not be afraid for Jesus is with you. Pray daily for the grace to follow your Lord and for peace. I pray for you all. I love you."

I felt the sadness of Our Blessed Mother as she spoke about the situation of the world. She talked about the darkness that is enveloping the world, a darkness that comes from the evil one. She sees the same thing in many families where there is no love because Jesus does not live there. It is the children who suffer the most in such situations. Our dear Mother calls us to remain close to Jesus and to be always faithful to Him. She calls us again to prayer and penance. She is constantly praying for us, her children.

My new book, Our Lady of Prince Edward Island, will come out on Wednesday, March 19, the Feast of my Patron Saint, St. Joseph. Joseph is my first name. I will send the book out to those who wrote for a copy as soon as I receive them. This afternoon, I will go to Egmont Bay for Holy Mass at the Church of St. Phillip and St. James this evening and again tomorrow morning. Tomorrow at noon I will celebrate the Holy Eucharist at St. Paul's Church in Summerside. I will only be home in the late afternoon as I will be visiting some friends in Summerside.

Let us take to heart the words of Our Blessed Mother Mary and remain faithful to the Lord every day.
