I WANT YOU ALL CLOSE TO ME
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this beautiful sunny morning! The sun is shining bright and there is not a cloud in the sky. I believe it will be much warmer today. We had a very prayerful meeting last evening. There were many people present and many shared about how the Lord was working in their lives. We sang many beautiful hymns and there was joyful praise of the Lord.
In my contemplative prayer this morning, I was with Jesus the whole time and He spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my brother, I love you. When I was on earth I built a community with the 12 Apostles. We shared everything and we went everywhere together. They learned from me daily and they grew as a community by prayer and work. I want all my friends to build a community in this way. There is too much individualism today which breeds loneliness, uncaring, and greed. Each person needs to belong to me and joined with others. This is why I want the groups, which I called 'The Families of Jesus' and 'The Youth for Jesus.' They are to be centered on me. Couples are to be united together in small groups and I will be there in their midst. They will meet and share and pray together often. They will celebrate together and help each other in times of sorrow and difficulties. The youth will do the same by coming to know me in their groups and working together to help others. In this way, all will grow in my friendship and in friendship with one another. They will feel at home in these small groups. A bond will be built among themselves, and they will be able to discuss together their problems. I will bless all these groups. I want you all close to me and to one another. I love you all."
This is not the first time, that Jesus spoke to me about these two groups. He wants that all those who accept Him form a family and live as a family. Faith and love of the Lord are thicker than blood and are the basis for a strong bond among the brothers and sisters of the Lord. Today, Jesus tells us, there is too much selfishness and individualism. This only breeds division, greed, loneliness, and opposition among the people. What Jesus wants instead, is sharing, acceptance of others, working together, caring for others, praying together and helping those with problems and difficulties. We are all made for community; we need to belong to a group and live in solidarity with others. I have written many ideas concerning these groups, and one day I will share them with you. Let us pray that they may begin one day.
The Lord is always renewing His people and He calls us to cooperate with Him. May the Lord give us the grace to always follow Him.

TODAY WE HONOUR ST. JOSEPH
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning on this beautiful sunny day. The temperature is warming up, and the snow is almost all gone once more. I was at the Cenacle last evening as we prayed the rosary for the youth of our world that they will come to know and love Jesus, their friend.
I received many e-mails yesterday, more than 30, and many inquiries about how to get the book, "The Art of Contemplative Prayer." Many people are reading the book and they share with me what a help it has been for them. Some have stayed up the whole night to read, because they say that once they started reading it they just could not put it down. The Lord is drawing many to contemplative prayer.
I was in prayer early this morning. Jesus was present and He spoke to me in these words, "Melvin, I love you and I bless you. Today is the day dedicated to Joseph, my foster father. He is honoured on the 1st of May, the day the workers are honoured. Joseph worked hard at his trade, carpentry. He was a good and steady worker, and I should know for I worked with him for many years. With the money he received through his work, he could take care of my mother and me. We never suffered from the necessities of life. All are called to work, good fulfilling work. Work develops a person, one's mind and body, teaches one skills, and helps to improve the world and the quality of life. Good and wholesome work helps every person to develop his or her potential. All who are well and strong should work and be happy at it. They should receive a decent wage to live and be able to take care of their children. However, they are to be reminded of the law of God concerning the Day of the Lord. It is written that all should keep holy the day of the Lord and to refrain from servile work. Only what is necessary should be done. There are six days to work, but the 7th day is to be free from work and dedicated to the Lord. My Father gave you this commandment and He expects you to follow it as His children. All workers are called to be honest, hard working and to love all their fellow human beings. I bless you all."
As we begin the month dedicated to Our Heavenly Mother, let us not forget that the first day is dedicated to her husband, St. Joseph. It is also Labor Day and what a fitting patron for workers St. Joseph is. Jesus this morning speaks about work and about His foster father whom He loves very much. He calls for a just wage for all workers. Some work very hard but receive very little, hardly enough to live on. In Africa, it is a scandal what many multi-national companies are doing. Some hire workers only for a day and pay them very little, and they have to be hired every morning. In doing this the company does not have to pay any benefits for these workers. The wages there in Africa are extremely low, hardly a dollar for a full day's work. All should receive enough to live. Jesus also insists on the third commandment of God: Thou shall keep holy the Sabbath day. The day of the Lord is not a day of work. Today more and more companies are opened on Sunday especially stores. This is definitely against the law of God. We know, though, that there are places, because of the nature of the institution that need workers every day especially hospitals, orphanages, homes for the elderly, etc. Jesus also teaches us about the quality of our work. We should give an honest day's work and do our work as well as we can. This means that we should be dedicated to our work and take pride in it.
May the Lord bless all workers and may they worship God daily who gave them the ability to work.

SUBMIT TO JESUS AND TO ME
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
I was with Jesus and the Father in prayer this morning. Jesus spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my brother, I love you. Let us go and visit Our Father in heaven." With great joy in my heart, Jesus took me to the throne of God the Father. I adored Him on my knees. The Father spoke saying, "Welcome Jesus and Melvin. Come and sit here by me. Jesus, my Son, your great work for the salvation of the world is always before me. Melvin, my son, I bless you as you come to visit me with Jesus. Learn every day from Jesus as He teaches you about your mission. You were chosen long ago to teach about contemplative prayer to all those who wish to pray in this way. It is the prayer so loved by Jesus and me. It was Jesus who inspired you to write the book explaining contemplative prayer. Go everywhere they call you to teach the people about this prayer. I am calling many to take up this prayer and have a close and loving relationship with Jesus and with me. You have already made a beginning but many more will call you in the future to teach them how to contemplate. I give the grace of contemplative prayer to all who ask. Let them cooperate with this grace by taking time every day to contemplate. I bless all those who make the effort to learn this method of prayer and willingly submit to Jesus and to me. I love you all."
From my own experience and from the words of the Father and Jesus, I am convinced of the importance of contemplative prayer in our lives. This prayer brings about in us a complete change of heart. Our lives become centered on the Lord, and not on the world and its pleasures. Jesus helps us through this prayer to empty ourselves of all the clutter in our heart and replaces all that with His love and peace. He enlarges our heart to love Him and to love and pray for all our relatives and friends. We receive the strength to work for Him without counting the cost. We want others to have what we have received. Besides the Holy Eucharist, contemplative prayer is the greatest gift the Lord has given me. How can I thank Him enough for giving me this prayer? Today the Father speaks highly of this prayer and He wants me to continue to go anywhere to explain to the people what this prayer is all about.
I would be happy if all the people would read the book "The Art of
Contemplative Prayer." In time it will be translated into French, Polish,
Spanish and perhaps in Russian. I pray it can be translated into other
languages so all may read it. Jesus wants to touch our hearts through this
prayer.
May the Lord make us all part of His family through a close relationship of
love and peace with Him.

PRAY THAT A NEW PENTECOST WILL COME SOON
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
I celebrated the Holy Eucharist at Bloomfield and the Brae Churches
yesterday. In the evening I was at the seminar at Palmer Road Church
and a good number were present. I spoke on repentance.
I spent a half hour with Jesus in prayer this morning. He spoke to me
saying, "Melvin, I live in your heart and I love you. My greatest desire
is to live in the hearts of all my brothers and sisters. Oh! if all were
led by my light and the dark night of sin was gone, what joy would fill
my heart. I have called on God the Holy Spirit to come down mightily
upon the earth and bring about a New Pentecost. He will turn the minds
of the people from seeking what is forbidden and sinful and bring them
to love the Father and me. He will stretch their hearts to reach out to
me in faith and love. He will destroy the selfish and proud super ego,
which with the connivance of the devil leads mankind away from me. This
ego is only the product of our distorted mind and the devil. The Spirit
will get rid of all your addictions, sinful habits and attachments. He
will make you FREE. I want you to be joyful and free in the Holy Spirit.
Pray, my friends, that this New Pentecost will come soon and that people
will live by faith in a loving relationship with me, their Saviour. I
remind you that I have given you my Mother to be your Mother too before
I died. Accept her in your life and listen to her for she loves you. I
bless you all."
Today Jesus balances the prediction of chastisement that is coming upon
the world because of sin and His great desire to bring about a New
Pentecost upon the world. By New Pentecost He means that people will
come to believe wholeheartedly again in Our Lord and be enthusiastic
about following Jesus. It will be like what the Apostles felt on that
first Pentecost morning in Jerusalem. May this wonderful gift of the
Holy Spirit come upon the world soon, so we can all be free from our
attachments and addictions and resentments. Indeed we will live in the
joy of the Lord. Jesus will surely live in our hearts and He will be our
great friend. We will accept Mary as our Mother as Jesus reminds us
today. We will listen to her in what she has been telling us in her
various apparitions in the world. Let us have a great devotion to her
and ask her for her intercession.
I asked you some months ago to pray for a sick man, Jack. He improved
very much and I am sure your prayers have helped him greatly. He is sick
again so please continue to pray for him through the intercession of Our
Blessed Mother.
May the Lord bring forth a New Pentecost into the world through the
power of the Holy Spirit so we may all be on fire for Our God and
Saviour.

MY HEART BURNS FOR YOU
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
In my period of prayer this morning, Jesus spoke to me saying, "Melvin, I love you. Today, Sunday, you celebrate my Resurrection from the dead. I am the Risen One who sits at the right hand of God the Father. He placed all the people of the world in my hands. I conquered evil and Satan, and I am ready to do the same for you. Your resistance, your refusal to let me work in you is the problem. I wish to break down this resistance to me but I need your cooperation, my brothers and sisters. Be ready to be my witnesses. Show everyone that you believe in me and that you find your joy in following me. Witness to my love for you and the gift of peace I've given you. Do not be afraid to stand up for me. Pray that a New Pentecost may come upon the world so that the Holy Spirit may awaken everyone to love God and one another with all their heart. Must God the Father chastise you before you will listen to me? My people, give up your life of sin, your drugs and alcohol, and give yourselves completely to me. Receive my power to fight evil and do good. Return to prayer, contemplative prayer, and become my close friend and live in me. I will live in you in close union. I wish to become the centre of your life. Let our partnership grow by cooperating with all the graces I am giving you. My heart burns for you."
The words of the Risen Jesus this morning come right from His Heart. He shows us how much He loves us. Our refusal to accept His love and to cooperate with Him is what hurts Him very much. He calls for a New Pentecost over the world so that all may be filled with the Holy Spirit and be on fire for the Lord. He does not want us to wait till great sufferings come before we turn to Him. Now is the time that we should get rid of sin with all our drugs and alcohol and come to the Lord and follow Him. Let us be His witnesses to all the people. He calls us to prayer and an intimate relationship with Him. It is in prayer that we will grow towards holiness. If we cooperate with Jesus, indeed He will bring us to holiness.
Let us pray for all the victims shot and killed in Germany. Let us remember too all their families in their grief. May the Lord shower His love upon us and may we forgive all those who hurt us.

BE FAITHFUL TO JESUS
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
In prayer early this morning, I was with Jesus who spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my friend, I love you. As it is Saturday, Our Mother's day, let us go and visit her." I agreed and Jesus took me to her home.
She greeted us saying, "Jesus and Melvin, welcome. I am so happy to see you both. Come and sit down. Jesus, my Son, I love you and what joy it is to be with you this morning. Melvin my priest son, I embrace you and make yourself at home here in your Mother's house. Great sorrow fills my heart when I think of my children on earth. I have shed tears and I am still shedding tears today for them. Because of so many committing grievous sins and rejecting God, they will have much to suffer. God the Father cannot put up with their filth and sins any longer. Pray, my children, that they will not tarry to come to God and be converted. The clock is about to strike, and then great suffering will begin. If you had listened to my call to repentance, you would have been spared. Your heart, though, was taken by the pleasures and attractions of evil. You abandoned your Creator who keeps you alive at every moment, for a sinful life in league with Satan. You chose death over life. You, the remnant of God's people, continue to grow in your love for God. Increase your devotions to me especially by praying the rosary every day. Be faithful to Jesus by means of a heart to heart prayer every day. I love you and I bless you all."
Our Lady shed tears again this morning because of all the sins committed in the world. She knows, that soon, great suffering will come upon the world because so many have turned away from God and follow the devil. I am somewhat like Jonah who had to tell the people of Nineveh that their town would be destroyed because of their sins. The people listened to Jonah and were spared. Today very few wish to listen. They have little faith, and their minds have been carried away by the attractions of the world and sin. Our Lady says that the clock will soon strike the hour to begin. It is no longer years, but it is a questions of days. She calls those who are faithful to God, the remnant of God's people. Only a small percentage of those baptized are now faithful to God, and truly believe in Him. Let us continue our work for the Lord, and intercede for those who have rejected Him, that they may return to Him once more. Let us be faithful to Jesus and pray every day.
I will be at St. Anthony's Church, Bloomfield, this weekend for holy Masses on Saturday and Sunday.
May the Lord strengthen you with His grace to follow Him every day.

STAY WITH ME
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this dull Friday. We are supposed to get more snow and rain today. It remains cold, even colder than parts of the Northwest Territory. Last evening I was at the Pro-life meeting at Alberton and some commented on my article in the local paper of April 24th. I wrote on the celebration of the Annunciation and the Day of the Unborn, which was celebrated on April 8th this year. This feast took place at Sacred Heart Church, Alberton, with about 150 people present. We had the celebration of the Holy Eucharist and the blessing of pregnant mothers and children.
During my period of contemplative prayer this morning, I was with Jesus who spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my brother, I love you. Today, Friday, brings me back to my suffering and death on the cross. It is the sins of all of you that caused me to suffer so much and die in such pain. Yet, I freely chose to go to the cross for love of you. I paid the price for your sins so you could be God's friends. It is love that sent me to the cross for I love you with all my heart. I would die again for you today if you would all come to believe in me and be saved. I only want what is best for you: that you love your Creator and follow His commandments. The Father gives you everything even life itself. You future destination depends on your following Him now. Can you throw away your eternity out of pride and obstinacy? Will you continue to oppose God because of your desire to satisfy the flesh or for pleasure? I showed you the true way you are to follow. Come with me, and I will lead you to the Father. Repent of all your sins and believe in me, your brother and Redeemer. Do you know that when you oppose God, you follow the devil who has no love for you. Do not give your enemy a chance to lead you to perdition. Stay with me and I will defend you. I love you."
Jesus has shown us without a doubt that He loves us. He suffered and died for us, so that we might be united with God forever in heaven. He truly is our Saviour. His questions to us this morning are very important. Let us take them to heart. We should always remember that there is a war going on for our hearts. Jesus is fighting and suffering that we will follow Him and be saved. Satan is there too, and he is fighting hard to take us away from God and to hell. We are either with God or with the devil. There is no neutral place. There are only two roads to follow. All those who oppose God and refuse to follow Him are in Satan's camp and if they remain there they will not be saved. Today a large number of the population are on the way to hell because they refuse to follow the commandments and believe in Jesus. They have rejected Him who alone can save them. However, as long as we are in this world there is still hope. We can return to the Lord by repenting of our sins and begin to follow Jesus. He will lead us to the Father.
Let us pray for sinners every day that they may wake up and return to
God. Let us make Jesus the Lord of our life.

COME, I AM CALLING YOU
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
At prayer this morning, Jesus was present and He spoke saying, "Melvin, my close friend, I love you, I embrace you. Open your heart to me so I may fill it with my love and joy. Enkindle your love and your faith and know that I am very near to you. In the power of the Holy Spirit I am throwing fire upon the earth. Why are the people so slow to take it up? Open your hearts, my brothers and sisters, so that you may be on fire for me. I want the renewal, the revival to begin now. Catch the spark and blow on it so that you may be on fire with my love. Hand your lives over to me and I will renew you and you will be filled with life. I will remove all darkness from your heart and make you shine bright. I will burn all resentment, fear, anger and sin in you. You will be the apple of my eye and the delight of my heart. Pray that a new world will soon begin and a new humanity washed in my saving blood will be born. I give you power to fight the evil one, to defeat him as I have defeated him. Let the world of sin be gone, and may the new world of freed men and women in my love begin. Come, I am calling you. I am your Saviour who died for you. I love you all."
Today Jesus gives out the call to wake up, to be on fire for Him. He says that He is throwing fire upon the world and He wants us to catch it and burn. The fire comes from His heart. In fact it is His love. He wants us to be alive in Him. He wants to change our lives so often dull because of our resentments, fears and lack of faith. He wants us to open to Him, and find the joy that flows from Him. Will we answer His call this morning? Let us open our hearts to Him and let Him change our lives around. Let us come into the light of day.
May the Lord awaken us all and renew us completely in His love.

Renew your faith in me
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
In my 30 minutes of contemplative prayer this morning, Jesus spoke to me saying, "Melvin, I love you. Let us go and visit our Father." I gladly gave my consent and Jesus brought me to God the Father's throne. I knelt in adoration of the Father. He spoke to us saying, "Welcome Jesus and Melvin, come and sit beside me. Jesus, my dear Son, great joy fills my heart at your resurrection. You have accomplished the greatest work in the world, the salvation of all my children who believe in you. Melvin, friend of Jesus and priest of the New Testament, I bless you. I have a special message for you and all my children. Time has arrived to show if you really love Jesus, your Saviour, and me, your Creator. I am about to test you and the people of the whole world. If you remain faithful to me throughout this period, indeed you will be my beloved children. You will have much to suffer but I will not be far from you and if you call on me I will help you. My people, I pity you if you fail. Renew your faith in me and pray for perseverance. Receive Jesus often in the Eucharist, the necessary food for the time that will soon begin. Melvin, remain strong to encourage my children. I bless you all."
God the Father, our Creator and Lord, gave me a special message today. I send it to you as I received it. There is a time of suffering for the world that is very near. I do not know when it will begin and what it will entail. It will be a time of suffering, a time of chastisement. The Father calls it, a time of testing if we truly love Him or not. He calls us to renew our faith in Jesus and in Him and to go to church to receive the Holy Eucharist often even every day. The Holy Eucharist is necessary during this time that is coming. Our Father will help us, if we call on Him with humility and faith. Jesus too will be near us. Let us get into the habit of praying every day especially the prayer that Jesus loves so much, contemplative prayer. We should not be afraid of what is coming but put ourselves in the hands of the Lord who will guide us.
May the Lord strengthen our faith and help us repent of our sins.

I WILL MAKE YOU FREE
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
I was with the Risen Jesus in my prayer today. He spoke saying, "Melvin, my brother, I love you. I am risen, never to die again. I have been proclaimed Lord of the universe. Everyone and everything is in my hands. I rule, though, from the heart. Love is the driving force of my Kingdom. As the Bible teaches, I am the one who knocks at the door of your heart. If you hear me, open the door and let me in. I don't force anyone against his or her will. I invite you every day to open to me, and remember there is only a knob inside and you alone can open it. Do not be afraid of me, for I am gentle and full of love for you. Open your heart to love and fear will be banished. I want to be your friend every day of your life. Did I not suffer for you? Did I not die on the cross that you could have life in its fullness? I rose from the dead to show you that I am God and that I am truthful. Even if you feel enslaved by any problem or difficulty, come to me and I will make you free. I will open the door of your prison and you will go free and I will hold your hand through it all. The joy of Easter will be yours. I love you."
Read in the last book of the Bible called Revelation, chapter 3, verse 20. Jesus is at the door of our heart and knocking. He knocks every day asking to come in. Every day, we have to take the decision to let Him come in. For some people their heart is very tightly shut and no one can enter. Fear and resentment are often the cause why they will not open their heart. These people live in a prison and they have no way out. They cannot love, and they cannot allow others to love them. Jesus, however, will not abandon them and He will keep on knocking and breaking the chains till that door can open even if it is only a little. He will come in and bring light in that darkness. His Easter joy will be felt and He will give His peace. Let us open to the Lord every day and let us do it by coming to Him in prayer. Jesus is our friend who will help us carry our burdens. He will strengthen us to face the future without fear. He will brighten each day with His love.
May the Lord make your day and colour your world with peace and joy.

RECEIVE MY LOVE
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
In prayer this morning Jesus spoke to me saying, "Melvin, I love you. You are now rested after a busy weekend. I bless all those who attended the conference and learned about my favourite prayer, contemplative prayer. Melvin, you have been praying this way for more than 20 years. I want all my friends to learn this method of prayer and contemplate every day. It is my gift to you all. In this way you will have a deep and loving relationship with me. You will climb the mountain with me and I will reveal to you many secrets. These secrets I reveal only to my friends. I love you all, and I showed it by my suffering and death on the cross for your salvation, and by my rising from the dead. How happy I would be if you take my hand and walk with me. You cannot carry the burden of life alone, I am here to help you if you allow me. My strength and my grace I will give you if you ask me. I am your brother who cares for you. Be humble and repent of all your sins, and come and follow me. Come to me in prayer, especially contemplative prayer, every day and receive my love, my joy and my peace. Do not follow the standards of the world, but live according to the standards of my Kingdom. I bless you all."
It is so true that the ways of the world are diametrically opposite to the ways of Christ. Jesus is calling us today to follow Him as He leads us. For believers, Jesus is all we need. His ways are shown by living in peace with every person, filled with love that comes from Him and generating a joy which the world cannot give. The world wants us to satisfy every instinct, and to inflate our ego, and follow every whim. We have to put on Christ as St. Paul tells us. We do this by remaining close to Him. We open our hearts to Him and accept everything He wishes to give us. We were made for His Kingdom and it is there that we will find our home. Let us be convince that we cannot do it on our own. We are bound to fail, but with Jesus we will succeed. To follow Jesus is necessary for us in order to be able to live and not just exist. Let us begin this new life by walking hand in hand with Jesus today. He calls us to contemplative prayer, the easiest prayer if we only learn how to do it. Many people over the weekend bought my book, "The Art of Contemplative Prayer" and I know it will help them to follow this ancient prayer which so many do not know. It is the prayer for the people of today as Jesus continues to tell me.
May the Lord bless you all and give you the grace to begin contemplative
prayer.

GO INTO THE WHOLE WORLD
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
In my prayer this morning, Jesus was with me and He spoke saying, "Melvin, my brother, I love you. I gave a command to all my friends to go into the whole world and preach the Good News to all, baptizing all those who believe in me. I want you, my friends, to teach all I have taught you. So few today take up this command of mine. Melvin, you are ready to go anywhere to teach the people about my love for them, and about the prayer I inspired you to write about and explain. Today as you go on another journey I am with you and I will inspire you as to what you have to say. My people are hungry for the spiritual. Many wish to come to know me intimately through contemplative prayer, a prayer so much favoured by me. May all of you be generous with your time by spending time with me in prayer. I will bless you who give yourselves to this prayer, and I can assure you, that you will make great progress in the spiritual life. I am your friend who will never let you down. I am always very close to you, and I want a close and loving relationship with each one of you. Open your heart to me every day and let us walk together. I bless you all."
I have often read the command of Jesus at the end of Matthew's Gospel. He addressed the Apostles and through them He speaks to each one of us. He wants us to go throughout the whole world, to bring Him to all the people who wish to listen. Jesus reminds us that many are hungry for Him. We can come to know Jesus in an intellectual way by learning facts about Him and studying His words in the Bible. Is this all that Jesus wants, that we know about Him? I believe He wants more. He wants us to come and know Him intimately. The only way that we can know Him that way is by believing in Him, and spending time with Him in prayer every day. Jesus' favourite prayer is contemplative prayer, the prayer He practiced when He was on earth as we read in the Bible. He used to spend whole nights in prayer with His Father. Jesus calls us to open our heart to Him every day, and to grow in our relationship with Him through this prayer. He blesses all those who make the commitment to pray in this way every day for 20 to 30 minutes.
It will be Monday before I will be able to send you another message. I am leaving this morning for Antigonish, Nova Scotia, for a spiritual weekend. I will be back Sunday evening. Please pray, that I will be inspired by the Lord to put across to the people at the conference the love that Jesus has for them and the beauty of contemplative prayer.
May the Lord bless you with His love and peace.

JOY IS THE MARK OF MY FRIENDS
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this dull but dry morning! It is cold for this time of the year, only a few degrees above the freezing point. Last evening I was at the praying meeting at our local parish. The hour passed very fast as we gave praise to God and shared how the Lord was working in our lives.
Jesus was with me this morning during my contemplative prayer. He spoke to me saying, "Melvin, I embrace you, my brother. I embrace all my friends wherever you may be. Although you cannot see it, my Kingdom is present in the world and it exists in the hearts of all who believe in me. The Church is part of my Kingdom which should spread to all the peoples of the world. I invite every person to become a member. My Kingdom also has depth. It is a profound reality for those who belong to it. I am the King who lives in your heart and give you already in this life a taste of heaven. Your life in the Kingdom is oriented towards me. I am the central point to whom you refer everything. You know if you have sinned because your conscience makes it known to you. However, I am always ready to forgive you if you repent. Peace I give to those who follow me. Love is the law of the Kingdom and all resentment against any person has no place there. As a member of the Kingdom, it is necessary to have a deep and abiding relationship of love with me. Come and be an active member filled with my Spirit. All those who are in my Kingdom are given the gift of joy, a joy that does not come from the world but from me. Joy is the mark of my friends. I love you."
The Kingdom of God is present in the world but it is not of the world. As Jesus was rejected and killed by the forces of the world, His Kingdom too is not accepted. The world would like to destroy it, and all who belong to it will have to suffer. This is the same with the Church which is in the Kingdom of God. Jesus established His Kingdom and it will last forever. Let us pray every day that His Kingdom may spread to the whole world, and that every person become a member of it. What is more important for everyone of us is that the Kingdom may grow in us. Jesus taught about the Kingdom by using parables. The parable of the Mustard Seed (Matthew 13, 31 - 32) and the parable of the yeast (Matt. 13, 33) teaches us about its growth. This is how it should grow within our- selves. It should become a great reality in our lives. The Kingdom exists in the hearts of all who believe in the Lord Jesus and love Him.
May Jesus give us all the grace to enthrone Him as the Lord of our hearts and live only for Him.

HELP ADVANCE MY KINGDOM
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
In my prayer this morning, Jesus spoke saying, "Melvin, I love you. I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. All power was given to me in heaven and on earth. I hold everything in my hands. My power though is conditioned by my love for all of you. I showed my power by rising from the dead after being buried for three days. Yes, my brothers and sisters, I am divine as well as human. How I wish to transform you all into a holy people who are filled with the Holy Spirit and desire to follow me every day. There are many followers of mine in the world but many do not stand up for me. They are afraid to be counted as my friends. If you have fear in your heart, it is because your faith is weak. My friends, let me strengthen you for the battle that is near. Remember with me you cannot lose, although you might have to suffer and some will have to die for me. I did not shy away from the cross and suffering, I carried out the will of my Father till the end. You too must be strong. Do not give Satan a chance but drive him away in my name. Show that you are a Christian, a believer of mine. Stand for what is right, for honesty, purity, love and peace. Help to advance my Kingdom in the world. I love you."
Jesus calls us today not to run away from the battle of our lives. NO, we must stand up and be counted. There is nothing greater than the cause of God and the triumph over sin. I admire the religious who remain in the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, although it is dangerous and they have to suffer from lack of food, and the water and electricity are turned off. They are a Christian presence in the midst of war and hatred. I am sure all the Christians of the world are with them in their dangerous situation. In our communities and countries today, there are so many things going on that are against the law of Christ. There is so much abuse, killings, impurity, abortion, dishonesty, racism, etc. We, Christians, have to stand against these things without fear. Let us ask the Lord to strengthen us to fight with Him. There are also injustices committed against so many people and we should not remain silent. Jesus calls us to advance His Kingdom of peace, love and purity. This Kingdom is built on faith in Him.
May He increase our faith and fill us with His love.

Good morning on this calm and cloudy day. The snow is over at least for now but there is a good blanket of it on the ground. A good part of that snow will melt today and I don't think anybody will be sorry.

Greetings on this snowy Monday. The ground is all white again for the
beginning of the lobster fishing season. It is still snowing but mostly
wet snow is falling now. The wind is supposed to come up today and it
could be dangerous for the fishermen.

Good morning on this beautiful sunny day! It is still cold and there are small patches of snow here and there. I was at Bloomfield Church last evening and I will return there this morning for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 9:30. At 11:30 AM I will be at the Brae for the second Mass. This evening I will attend the 4th week of the seminar in the Life of the Spirit and I will give the talk.

Good morning! It is winter all over again today. There should be three or four inches of snow on the ground, and it is all immaculately white everywhere. I feel that Our Lady has painted the world white one more time. It is already melting this morning and if the sun comes out there will be none left by this evening.

Good morning! What a beautiful morning with the sun shining bright and not a cloud in the sky! It is so wonderful to be alive, the Lord is so good. Yesterday I had visitors from Louisiana. This lovely couple I met at Antigonish during the weekend. They came to Palmer Road and I showed them around a bit. We visited North Cape, the tip of the Island, and I gave them a tour of the two lovely churches in the area, the one in Tignish and the other in Palmer Road. They will be flying to New Orleans tomorrow. Last night I was at the prayer meeting at Palmer Road. A large group came and we spent an hour in joyful praise and fervent prayer.

Good morning! The ground is all white this morning. It snowed overnight but there is less than an inch of snow on the ground. I hope it all disappears today and the weather turns warmer. I celebrated the funeral of dear Elizabeth yesterday, and I was at Palmer Church last evening to hear the confessions of the children. I am behind in my work especially in answering e-mail letters as I've been away a lot during the last few weeks. My health though is very good, thank God.

Greetings in the Lord! It is overcast this morning and we might have a little snow. It is cold enough. We had a fine afternoon yesterday. I was at the Manor for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist with many of the residents. We lost a dear one on Saturday who was a resident there and I will celebrate her funeral this morning. Please pray for her, her name is Elizabeth and she died at the age of 93.

Good morning! We have another sunny day although it is cold this morning and we are supposed to get snow tomorrow. Wet snow is falling in Ontario today. I am back from my trip to Antigonish, Nova Scotia. It was a very faith-filled weekend with the Lord. Everything went well. I arrived home at about 5:00 PM so I could attend the seminar in the Life of the Spirit at Palmer Road Church last evening beginning at 7:30.

Good morning! The sky is covered again today with only a band of light along the edges. We are supposed to have more rain again.

Good morning! The sun is trying to show itself although it is cloudy. It rained again overnight but it should clear up today. I was at the celebration of the Holy Eucharist with our Bishop last night as he conferred the sacrament of Confirmation on 26 youth. He encouraged them to be strong through the Holy Spirit, and not to be afraid to suffer for Christ.
