I LOVE YOU AS MY OWN
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings and best wishes on this cool but partly cloudy day! I was at the Manor yesterday for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist and my mother attended and answered all the prayers. I was at the prayer meeting in Tignish last evening. I had not been there for a long time.
In my prayer this morning Jesus spoke to me saying, "Melvin, I love you. We are in the desert with only rocks and clay around us. There are no trees, no flowers or grass. These surroundings give a feeling of detachment for nothing attracts us in a place like this. In that case our spirits can soar and be with God. The desert is a wonderful place to meet God, our Lord and Creator. My friends, it is time to empty yourselves of all that keeps you apart from me. If there is any resentment, anger, hatred, jealousy, fear or hurts in your heart, this is the time to bring them to me. Give them all to me and you will have peace. These attitudes and feelings hold you down and cause great darkness and suffering. Give them to me and you will be free. I will come and live in your heart if you open it to me. I will bring you joy and your heart will sing praises. Ask for my protection and I will stand guard against the evil one together with your guardian angel. Come close in my heart and spend time with me. I will help you to pray and I will listen to your prayer. I will pour my love upon you for I love you as my own. Come to the spiritual desert today and you will find me there. I bless you all."
During the period of Lent Jesus invites us to the spiritual desert to be with Him. Let us detach ourselves from anything such as TV, movies, worldly songs, idle gossip, etc. Instead let us enter the silence and be with the Lord. So many people entertain various feelings of resentment, jealousy, fear or feel hurt and cannot overcome these on their own. Jesus calls them to bring all these things to Him and He will get rid of them. What a joy it is to be free of all those bottled up feelings. Once these are gone, then we can climb the mountain with the Lord. Let us not give the evil one an entry into our hearts by compromising with him. Let us not be involved with any witchcraft or shows on TV that deal with that sort of evil. Some people play with the ouijah board and that too is evil and under the spell of the devil. Let us have nothing to do with anything that is associated with the devil or magic. Jesus asks us to be His totally.
May the Lord live in our hearts today and may He bring us the freedom and joy that He promised.

I FILL YOU ALL WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning! The snow is almost all gone! It rained and blew during the
night but this morning it is clearing up. It is bright in the west and
soon the sun will be shining. I thank you all for your best wishes on my
birthday and for all your prayers.
I was with Jesus in prayer this morning. He began by saying, "Melvin,
I am Jesus your friend, I love you. Let us go and visit Our Father who
is waiting for us." I agreed with great joy and Jesus took me to His
throne. I knelt in adoration. The Father spoke saying, "Welcome Jesus,
My Son, and Melvin, my dear son and Jesus' friend. Come and sit near
to me. Jesus, my love for you is everlasting and your sacrifice for
the people of the world is always before me. You are truly the Saviour
of the world. Melvin, my son, I bless you. I have a word for all my
children: Your Father in heaven loves you as His children. I am your
Creator who made you and watches over you. I sent Jesus to live among
you to teach you how important you are in my eyes. He died that you may
have life and be my beloved children. Many people do not acknowledge me
as their Father and live in sin. Pray for their conversion that they
will submit to me and live as befits my children. Follow Jesus, my Son,
and He will lead you to me. Live as brothers and sisters in unity who
care for each other. The world is in a period of suffering because of
unrepented sins and immorality. May they return to me before it is too
late. Melvin and all my children, I bless you all and fill you with the
Holy Spirit. He is my gift to you all this morning. I love you."
God the Father is a loving God who loves us, His children. He has given
us everything and He continues to keep us in existence every moment of
our lives. Jesus came on earth to reveal to us the great love of His
Father for us. He wants us close to Him at all times. In this world of
ours where there is so much immorality, selfishness and greed, many do
not want to acknowledge that God exists, let alone to submit to Him.
They live a lie that they are in charge and that they can do whatever
they wish. They consider themselves little gods who make a mess of their
lives. It is only in acknowledging that there is a God above us who has
created us and who cares for us that we can truly understand who we are.
We cannot dethrone God. We have to see that we have to submit to a
loving Father and that we have obligations towards Him. We are His
children who owe Him respect, love and obedience. In this way our rela-
tionship will be on solid ground and He will give us His peace and joy.
God the Father wants us to pray that all will come to believe in Him,
repent of our sins and follow His word. Jesus has given us the example
we are to follow. We must love the Father as Jesus did. The Father's
gift to us this morning is the gift of the Holy Spirit whom we have
already received and can receive again. He is the Spirit of love, of
holiness and strength. Let us accept the wonderful gift of the Third
Person of the Blessed Trinity and let us cooperate with Him.
I will go to the Manor this afternoon for the celebration of the Holy
Eucharist. I will miss Rosetta Perry who was always at Mass and she was
there last Monday but has now returned to the Lord. I will spend time
with my mother and I am sure she will be at Mass.
May the Lord strengthen you with the Holy Spirit to reject all
temptations and to live today only for Him.

I HAVE CHOSEN YOU
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning on the day we remember the Resurrection of Our Lord! It
is cloudy today and a few flakes are falling. Yesterday was a very
beautiful sunny day. I wish to thank again all those who sent me
greetings on my birthday. I received about 50 e-mail letters and over
25 phone calls yesterday wishing me a happy birthday. I enjoyed the
day. I also heard confessions in Tignish Parish and celebrated the
Holy Eucharist last evening at Palmer Road Church.
I was with Jesus this morning in prayer. He spoke to me saying, "Melvin,
my brother priest, I love you. I have given you a share in my priesthood
so that you can bring me to the people. As a priest you have the great
privilege of pronouncing the words of consecration that brings about the
changing of the bread and wine into My Body and Blood. At your word I
become present on the altar as food for those who come to receive me.
The Eucharist is my great gift to those who believe in me. A wonderful
miracle takes place every time a priest celebrates the Eucharist for I
become truly present in my body and blood, soul and divinity. I am
really present there as the resurrected one who lives in heaven. By
means of the Eucharist I can come and live in your heart and bring you
the gifts and graces you need. Come my dear friends to church often to
partake in the celebration of the Eucharist, this divine liturgy by
which heaven and earth are united. The celebration makes present my
eternal sacrifice on the cross which is bringing salvation to you and
all the people of the world. Melvin, I have chosen you to be my priest,
bring me, my word and my forgiveness to all those who approach you. I
love you."
I marvel every day at the great honour the Lord has given me in sharing
His priesthood with me. There is only one priesthood, that of Our Lord
Jesus. A priest shares in this one priesthood, so that he can act in the
name of Christ. It is a fact and often repeated by the Pope that the
priesthood is necessary for the Church. It is however given to men who
are weak and sinful. Some are like Judas who was called to be an Apostle
but fell away and betrayed the Lord. I suppose there will always be some
priests and even bishops who will cause scandal and bring shame to the
church. It is so important that we pray for priests and bishops every
day that they be faithful to their calling and remain closely united
with Jesus in a close and intimate relationship. Jesus tells me this
morning that He has chosen me to be a priest. Indeed one can only be a
priest if he is called. Through this call, the Lord gives us the graces
we need if we cooperate with Him. What a calling the priesthood is! A
mere human being is given the privilege to celebrate the Holy Eucharist,
to absolve in the name of Jesus all those who repent of their sins, and
to administer the other sacraments which are special encounters with the
Lord. I thank the Lord every day for the calling to be a priest and I
ask Him to help me to follow Him every day. I wish to be an instrument
in His hands to bring Him to others. I know that I am weak but united
with Jesus I can be strong. I keep His cross before my eyes for it
teaches me what love Jesus has for me that He freely submitted to die
to save me. I accept Him with all my heart and I consider Him to be
my greatest friend. I cannot live without Him for He is my life. My
one desire is to die today and be united with Him for all eternity.
However, not my will but thine be done. Jesus, give me your love, your
friendship, your grace and I will be happy. Help me to bring you to all
those who thirst for you.
May Our Blessed Mother also pray for us and protect us every day.
May the Lord bless you and give you all an increase of faith.

I AWAIT MY NEW HOME AMONG YOU
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning on this bright and sunny day! Thank you all for the many
e-mail messages I received for my birthday. I must have received over 40
yesterday and over 200 during the past week. I prayed for you all this
morning and asked the Lord and Our Heavenly Mother to bless you all. I
was at Holy Mass and the Way of the Cross last evening and at the end
the congregation sang: Happy Birthday. Holy Mass was followed by our
weekly small Christian Community meeting with 11 people present. It
ended with a birthday cake and the singing of Happy Birthday. To top it
all, yesterday I received a beautiful bouquet of red roses from a dear
friend in Iowa. To you all I repeat again: THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
In my prayer this morning, I was with Jesus who spoke saying, "Melvin,
I love you and happy birthday. On this your special day let us go and
visit Our Mother." With an enthusiastic "yes" from me, Jesus took me to
her home. She greeted us saying, "Jesus and Melvin, welcome to my home
and come and sit down. Jesus, my Son, joy fills my heart to see you.
Melvin, my priest son, happy birthday and let me embrace you. Jesus
and I bless you on your birthday. The love I have for you is the same
intense love I have for all my children throughout the world. I have a
special love for those who suffer in any way, who are persecuted or are
unjustly treated. I pray too for those children of mine who live in
countries where there are wars, famine or poverty. I pray also for the
conversion of all my children that they may believe in Jesus, My Son, as
their Lord and Saviour and live in a loving relationship with Him and
all their brothers and sisters. I wish to speak again about the shrine
I desire in my honour. I desire to be known in this shrine as The Lady
of Prince Edward Island. It will be my home for all the people of
the Island and beyond. I will bring them all to my Son, Jesus, their
Redeemer. All those who will acknowledge me and visit my shrine will
receive many graces through me and I will bless them all. I await my
new home among you for I dearly love you all."
What joy it would be to remain permanently with Jesus, Our Lord, and
Mary, Our Mother! Her words this morning are words full of love for us
her children. We all have a place in her motherly heart. As usual she
points to her Son, Jesus, for He is the Saviour and Our God. She takes
us as it were in her arms and brings us to Jesus and tells us to follow
Him. Her constant prayer is for us that we may be delivered from all
suffering and harm, and that we may be converted and have a lively
relationship with Jesus. She is still awaiting her new home, her shrine,
on the Island. She has many graces to grant us that come from Jesus. All
those who will visit her at her shrine will be blessed. Already she is
working in many ways for I can attest that many people have received
powerful graces from Jesus through her.
May the Lord and Our Blessed Mother bless you and place you all in their
hearts.

I WANT YOU TO BE MY BEST FRIEND
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this beautiful sunny day! When I returned from the Pro-life
meeting last night the full moon was very bright in a clear sky. This
morning the sun is shining and there is hardly a cloud. The wind has
died down overnight and it is quiet as I write this letter.
In prayer I was with Jesus in His Passion. He spoke saying, "Melvin, my
friend, come and keep me company during my passion. The soldiers have
taken me to their quarters and they are mocking me. They have blind-
folded me and they come one by one to hit me in the face and ask me,
"Prophecy who has hit you?" I hold a reed in my hand as if it was a
scepter for a king and they genuflect before me in mockery. They shout
obscenities at me just to show their contempt. I am here praying for
them that the Father may have pity on them. This same mockery is going
on today as it was during my passion. For many people I am used as a
form of sport so they can make fun of me. They hurl their insults and
curses at me even more these days than in the past. I suffer deeply in
my heart and soul at their malice and perversion. Come all you my
friends and remember today that I am suffering for you. Do you love me
more than these soldiers? Will you open wide your heart to me? Can I
count on your service for me today? Spend time with me contemplating my
disfigured face caused by the sins of so many people. I want you to be
my best friend. I love you."
What injustices Jesus suffered during the Passion! He had done nothing
wrong yet He was treated worst than a criminal. He accepted all this for
us, so that we could become the adopted children of the Father by His
great sacrifice for our redemption. By His sufferings we have all been
healed. How many are thankful for what Jesus did for them? How many do
not even wish to remember what the Lord has done for them! His question
today is from the heart: "Do you love me more than these soldiers?" His
sacrifice on the cross was done out of love for each one of us. If we
love Him in return then we would act as His friends, love to spend time
with Him in prayer and help those in need. He calls us to look at His
bruised face, at the sufferings in His eyes and at the sorrow in His
heart because we are so cold toward Him. He wants to be our best friend
but so often we turn away from Him and refuse to spend time with Him.
Today let us open our hearts to Him.
Thanks again for the money you have sent me for Justin. I now have
received 10% of the needed amount. I also thank you for all your e-mails
and cards wishing me a happy birthday. I never received so many as this
year. I especially appreciate all your prayers and Holy Masses for my
intentions. I am praying for all of you every day.
May the Lord bless us and help us to believe in Him with all our heart
and to love Him as our best friend.

YOU WILL FIND YOUR TRUE SELF ONLY IN ME
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good afternoon! I arrived back from Charlottetown just before noon. My
trip was very enjoyable. I celebrated the Holy Eucharist last evening
with about 120 people. There were many sick people present and I blessed
them all with blessed oil. Coming out of the Basilica we had a downpour.
I found out that the rain was not just in Charlottetown but all over the
Island. Much of the snow is gone. It is still mild this afternoon.
I had my half hour of prayer this morning in Charlottetown. Jesus spoke
to me saying, "Melvin, my friend, I love you. You are spending Lent with
me in the desert. I bring you here most days to speak to your heart. So
many people are too busy, too preoccupied with things of the world, to
be able to hear my voice. They are fooling themselves that they are in
charge and that any advancement depends on them. In their pride they do
not want to submit to anyone, not even to me. Being cut off from me,
they are leading many astray because of being in league with the devil
and following his plans. One day they will know that they have made a
mess of things. I wish to impress on you all, that without me you can
do nothing. There is a period of suffering now upon the world which is
intensifying in order to bring all to their senses. I am offering to all
the gift of conversion so you can all change your lives around. I am
calling you all to the desert within yourselves where you will find me.
Become spiritually minded persons. Come out of your shell and reach out
to me in faith and I will help you. You will find your true self only in
me. I love you."
The Second Vatican Council teaches us that only God can reveal us to
ourselves. Without Him we live a lie for we are not sufficient unto
ourselves. It is only in believing in God that we can know that we are
creatures created by a loving God. It is only in God that we can find
our true destiny and meaning to our lives. We are not number one, God
is. We depend on Him for everything. It is only in knowing God that we
can begin to grasp the dignity of each human being. Jesus calls us today
to wake up and to return to Him. He wants us to come to the desert to be
with Him and He will teach us what we need to know. But above all He
will love us and show us our great worth in His eyes. It is only in this
way that we will come to know who we truly are.
I will attend the Pro-life meeting this evening in our area. We are
preparing to celebrate the Annunciation of the Lord as the Day of the
Unborn. It will not be celebrated on March 25 this year because that
date falls during Holy Week. It has been moved to April 8. Let us never
forget to pray every day for an end to abortion, the killing of our
unborn brothers and sisters.
May the Lord fill us with His light so that we may know the truth and it
is the truth that will make us free.

I am your brother and your Saviour
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this beautiful sunny day! The sun is coming up in all his
glory waking up everything in its path. It rained during the night and
all the new snow of the night before is gone. I attended the cenacle
last evening at Palmer Road Church and we prayed especially for peace
in the world and the conversion of all.
Jesus gave me His message as usual in prayer this morning. He spoke
saying, "Melvin, I embrace you, my brother. I have chosen you to bring
my Word to all who wish to listen. My Word is valid for your time and
teaches all those who are attuned to me. My brothers and sisters, do not
put your heart in material things, things that are here today and gone
tomorrow. Put your heart in me and you will not be disappointed. Come
and join me in the desert where I am training you to be strong to resist
the evil one and to follow instead the will of My Father. Be on guard
about what you read and what you watch on TV or listen to on the radio.
Some music too is not wholesome as it comes from the evil one. Satan has
infiltrated so many of these means of communication. Do not become a
slave of his dark influences. I call you to me for I am the light of the
world. Be totally converted in all your ways and let us live in mutual
love and peace. Keep my face before your eyes every day. Place me in
your mind when you wake up and recall my face often during the day. I
want you to be conscious that I am always with you and that I love you.
I am your brother and your Saviour who never leaves you. I bless you
all."
Jesus continues to call us to the desert to join Him in this time of
Lent. He wants us to shed all our entanglements and attachments and to
be free to follow Him. He puts us on guard about what we watch on TV,
read in books and newspapers or listen to on radio, cassette players
and CD players. The evil one has his dirty paws in all of these things
and we have to be careful. During this season of Lent, Jesus is calling
us to be totally converted to Him and live in union with Him. He wants
us to keep His face always before us. Let us put His picture in our
imagination as we get up and let us return to it often during the day.
In this way, we will be with Him the whole day. He must feel at times
that we are very cold as we can go for hours without a thought for Him
who lives in our hearts with such love.
I will go to Charlottetown this afternoon to celebrate a healing Mass
this evening. I will only be back tomorrow. I will send out the message
only after I get home, which will be sometime in the late morning or
early afternoon.
May the Lord give us His strength to break all habits that takes us away
from Him. May He form a picture of Himself in our imagination and bring
us back to Him often during the day.

I WILL GUIDE YOUR STEPS
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning! We have the same weather as yesterday, cloudy but calm. We
had a little bit of snow overnight to remind us that Spring is not here
yet. It is suppose to be above the freezing point today, so, much of the
new snow should melt. I went to the Manor yesterday for the celebration
of the Holy Eucharist and to be with my mother. She was in a singing
mood and sang along in the chapel with our great choir.
Jesus spoke to me in my prayer this morning. He began by saying,
"Melvin, my friend, I love you. I am here in the desert; come and join
me. It is here in conversation that our love for each other will grow.
I wish to spend time with each person every day so that we can become
close friends. Friendship with me is different from any other
friendship, for in friendship I give myself with all the graces you
need. In fact through friendship I change you into myself. You come to
resemble me more and more. I will live in you and I will give you my
life. I will replace your heart with mine and I will use your hands to
help others. I will use your mouth to speak my words. I will use your
mind to think my thoughts. I will use your ears to listen to those who
wish to speak to me. Let my life grow in you for I want you all to be
my close and intimate friends. Loose your life in me and you will find
new life, this precious gift from me. Leave your worries, anxieties,
resentments, anger and hurts at the foot of my cross and receive my
peace, a sign of new life. Then come, give me your will and follow me.
I will guide your steps. I love you and care for you."
Jesus is spending time in the desert where He spent 40 days with His
Father and at the end was tempted by the devil. He craves for our
friendship and the deeper this friendship becomes the more we are
transformed into Him. We become like St. Paul who could say: "It is no
longer I who live but Jesus who lives in me." Jesus asks us to leave all
our worries and hurts at the foot of His cross and we will receive His
peace. He cares for us but we have to rely on Him and trust Him. I
cannot insist enough that it is through contemplative prayer that we can
deepen our relationship with Jesus. I received a phone call yesterday
from a man who was given my book, "The Art of Contemplative Prayer" last
Saturday and he stayed up the whole night as he could not put it down
till he had finished it. Many others have had the same experience. It
is Jesus who is drawing them to this kind of prayer so loved by Him.
I wish to thank all who have contributed so far to the air ticket for
Justin-Louis Adzi of Africa. I have now received $300.00 which is not
yet 10% of the amount needed. Justin-Louis is a catechizer in his
parish, he goes to Mass every day and he has a great love for Our
Blessed Mother. He prays the rosary every day. What joy it would be for
him to be present at the World Youth Day with young people from all over
the world. We can make his wish come true. Let us pray that he will
enter the seminary this fall and that he will be a holy priest.
May the Lord give us all the gift of contemplative prayer and a
deepening of our relationship with Him.

ALWAYS REMAIN UNITED WITH JESUS
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this dull and cloudy day! There are a few flakes falling
but I don't think it will amount to much. I was in Tignish yesterday for
the celebration of the Holy Eucharist with the confirmation class and
their parents. About 100 people were present. I gave an introduction
about the Mass explaining the various parts to them and asking them to
participate with all their heart. The response was very good. In the
afternoon I was back in Tignish for a talk to a group of youth and I was
asked to speak about what happens when we die and where the dead go.
I was with Jesus and Our Heavenly Father in prayer today. Jesus began by
saying, "Melvin, I love you for you are my friend. The Father loves you
too and He is waiting for us. Let us go to visit Him." I agreed and
Jesus took me to His throne. I knelt in His presence and adored Him. The
Father spoke saying, "Welcome Jesus and Melvin and come and sit near me.
I bless you, Jesus, my Son, for the perfect sacrifice you offered to me
for the salvation of all the people of the world. Melvin, Jesus' friend,
I bless you, my son. Something special will happen this week. It is time
that a new step be taken to advance the work Jesus has given you. A
start must be made to lift the darkness that covers so many people. My
Son, Jesus, has to become the centre of every person's heart. He is the
light that will drive away all darkness. Satan has ensnared so many
people in all parts of the world. His hold on them has to be broken.
While he seems to triumph in his rage against me with so many willing
helpers, Jesus will bring about a new beginning that will grow through
my power and guidance to overthrow the kingdom of darkness. This
darkness from Satan has invaded every country and even part of the
Church founded by my Son. Melvin, I am strengthening you today for this
work of mine. Always remain united to Jesus, your friend. I bless you
and all my children."
Our Heavenly Father sees how far so many people have strayed from His
Son Jesus by following the evil one. We just have to realize for example
the terrible sin abortion is. We are told that nearly 3,000 people died
in the terrorist attack in New York but nothing is said about the 4,000
abortions taking place every day in the USA. There are also many taking
place in Canada where there are no laws at all against abortion. Some of
these innocent children are sometimes fully grown and if they are not
killed in the womb are left to die if they should be extracted alive.
This makes us worst than Hitler and his gang. No wonder the Father is
talking about the darkness that has invaded all countries. Satan has
plenty of people including doctors and politicians to do his dirty work.
So many Christians are asleep and carry on as if nothing happened. When
are we to wake up, I wonder? The Father promised this morning to
intervene in our world if we are ready to cooperate with Him. Something
special is to happen to change things around. It will begin small but He
will be behind it and He will make it grow. Let us pray and fast this
week in order to accept what the Father has in store for us. He knows
those who love and follow Him. The Father also said that the darkness
that comes from Satan has also entered a part of the Church and this is
due to the fact that some have little faith, do not pray or are not
obedient to the head of the Church. Let us remain closely united with
Jesus through prayer and service.
May the Lord protect us all and give us His strength every day.

I BLESS YOU ALL
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Special greetings to you and all on the Sunday of the Transfiguration!
It is still cloudy and a little snow is falling just to remind us that
winter is not over yet. I'll be in Tignish this morning for the celebra-
tion of the Holy Eucharist with the youth who will receive the sacrament
of Confirmation later this year. They will be there with their families
and I have been asked to teach them about the great liturgical prayer
which is the Mass.
In my quiet time with the Lord this morning, Jesus spoke to me saying,
"I love you, Melvin, my brother. When you were in Israel some years ago
you climbed the mountain of the Transfiguration and stood where it took
place. Today the Church remembers the event and the Gospel passage
narrates what took place. On that day I gave the three Apostles, Peter,
James and John, a glimpse of my divinity. They saw me shining like the
sun, so bright that they could not look at me. All this was to
strengthen their faith. There was a danger that they would despair when
they saw me dying on the cross. On the mountain they heard my Father
speaking, 'This is my son, the Beloved; with him I am well pleased;
listen to him!' Melvin, you know that I have the words of truth. I call
the whole world to listen to my words this morning: I love you all.
Accept me as your Lord and God for this is what I am. I redeemed you
through my bitter passion, death on the cross and resurrection from the
dead. Repent of all your sins and come be my friend. Let a loving
relationship grow between us, my brother and my sister. Receive my
grace, my strength and my peace to help you in your daily struggle to
walk with me. Be a member of my church and receive the sacraments
especially reconciliation and the Eucharist often. Love your neighbour
as you love me. Come and spend time with me in prayer and our
relationship will be deepened. I bless you all."
I remember the climb to the summit of the mountain of the Transfigura-
tion. It was steeped in places but a group of us made it to the top.
There is a beautiful Church built right on top. There is a beautiful
scene of the Transfiguration painted on the wall behind the main altar.
Jesus is shown there in all His glory. I was very happy to concelebrate
the Holy Eucharist in that Church with about 30 priests. Jesus, Our Lord
and Our Saviour, teaches us today what He expects of us. It is out of
love for each one of us that He calls us to follow Him. We are assured
of His grace at all times in our struggles. He wants us to use the means
He has provided for us: The Eucharist, the sacrament of reconciliation,
prayer, repentance and love of our neigbour. Many people today are
finding their way back to Him and to the Church. He is our friend and
we cannot go forward without Him. I tell the youth, who are so attracted
by sports and material things, not to forget to bring Jesus into their
lives, for without Him their lives will be empty and just a big mess.
Did Jesus not tell us that without Him we can do nothing good? Jesus is
absolutely essential for us to have meaning in our lives. No wonder He
calls us to live with Him today.
May the Lord increase our faith in Him and let us join our lives to His.

I HOLD YOU ALL IN MY HEART
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning on Our Lady's Day, Saturday. It is cloudy today but there
is nothing falling. We had a mild day yesterday. I went to O'Leary to
see the nurse who takes care of us diabetics. As the blood sugar is now
down to normal, I only have to test it three days in a month. I am on a
diet and I have to walk every day for about 30 minutes. I was at the Way
of the Cross and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist last evening at
the parish here. I wish to thank all those who sent me greetings and
cards for my birthday which will be on March 2. I'll be 63 years of age.
In prayer this morning Jesus took me to visit Our Heavenly Mother. He
began by saying, "I love you, Melvin, my brother. You are dear to me.
Let us go and visit Our Mother." I say "yes" and Jesus took me to her
home. She greeted us saying, "Welcome Jesus and Melvin to my heavenly
home! What joy it is to see you Jesus, my Son, and Melvin, my priest
son. Let us sit here in this room. Melvin, as your Mother and the Mother
of all who believe in Jesus, I call you all to be united with Jesus and
to love Him with all your heart. He is the Saviour of the whole world. I
work with Him to call my children to follow Him. Continue your work,
Melvin, so that the shrine on the Island may soon begin for it is dear
to me. I also encourage you to begin the Contemplative Brothers and
Sisters of Jesus. Jesus and I want these societies to come to birth
soon. Through them many people will be converted and become close
friends of Jesus and myself. My Son is calling many to join these
religious societies. There is much darkness in the world and that is why
you are in a period of suffering. It is high time for the people of the
world to return and to believe in Jesus, My Son and Our Saviour. Let
them repent of their sins and come and follow Jesus. I bless you and I
hold you all in my heart."
Our Lady is so clear and direct in her words to us. Her love is so
genuine and so motherly. She cares for her children with all her heart.
She knows what she wants and expresses it so beautifully. She never
forgets about the shrine which she wants here on the Island. Already
many miracles of grace have taken place on the Island. People have
returned to the Church after many years. Others have been cured of
various addictions. Others have been cured from all kinds of sicknesses
through her intercession and still others have received the gift of
faith. This has happened not only in Prince Edward Island but also
outside the Island. I receive many e-mails every day from all over the
world attesting to their love for Our Lord and Our Lady and letting me
know that they have now started to pray and go to church regularly.
Others have decided to join the Church and still others have started to
pray the rosary every day. A movement towards God is beginning and for
this I thank the Lord. Our Lady is calling us all to come close to Jesus
who is our friend. Many powerful graces are channeled to us by Our Lady
if we ask for her help. She is also encouraging me to begin the twin
societies of the Contemplative Brothers and Sisters of Jesus. Jesus
called me some years ago at 3:00 AM to come to church. I quickly got
dressed and spent about three hours with Him before the Blessed
Sacrament. I felt that He was right there next to me and I could hear
His words all the time I sat there. He called me to begin these two
societies in order to deepen our relationship with Him and to begin the
Families of Jesus and the Youth for Jesus. Many are in need of a deep
conversion and repentance of their sins. Jesus has to play a greater
role in our lives. With the help of Jesus and Our Blessed Mother, these
societies will work to bring this about.
I have now received $90.00 for Justin-Louis's air ticket. It is slowly
coming in.
Let us show our love to Our Lord and Our Lady by spending time with them
in prayer. Let us pray the rosary every day and let us pray for the
conversion of all the people. May the Lord bless you with His peace.

MY BLOOD IS WASHING YOU CLEAN
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
In prayer this morning, I was with Jesus in a cruel part of His Passion. He spoke to me saying, "Melvin, come and be with me as I undergo the scourging at the pillar. I'm suffering this torment for you and all the people of the world because I love you. My hands are tied high above my head as they get ready to swing their long whips tipped with lead. Melvin, be my support as they torture me. OH MY BACK! They have begun to whip me. These whips cut my flesh and what great pain I feel. I have difficulty to speak because of the shooting pain all over my back and legs. Will they ever finish with this whipping? I cannot stand the pain and every blow is worst than the one before. I can do no more than moan for the whip stings my back with very sharp pain. I am getting weak from this scourging yet I endure it for you all. Can you see what your sins are doing to me? I have done nothing wrong but I suffer this torture instead of you. I will die for you today. Only my Father in heaven can strengthen me in this terrible hour of pain. I willingly suffer these 40 lashes to atone for your sins and win you salvation if you believe in me and follow me as a member of my church. My blood is washing you clean. Remain with me today as I suffer for you."
Jesus shares the pain of the cruel scourging at the pillar with me this morning. It is no problem for the Lord to make His Passion present today for us. I was there as they whipped Him and I could see the blood oozing from His whole body from the cuts made by the lead in the tips of the whips. The soldiers hit Him with all their strength, so no wonder He felt weak. Can our hearts remain cold to see Our Lord suffering so much for love of us? He is God to whom we owe adoration and praise, yet He is treated as the worst of criminals. He tells us plainly, "I will die for you today." He offers His life to the Father for our redemption so that we may be freed from sin and be united forever with Him in heaven. His great salvific act reaches out to every person in the world if we accept Him, believe in Him and repent of our sins. Let His blood wash us clean and make us acceptable to Him.
Today is Friday and many Christians will follow Jesus by doing the Way of the Cross. I will go to Palmer Road Church this evening for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist and the Way of the Cross. Through this great meditation let us enter into the Passion of Our Lord and let Him know that we are sorry for all our sins.
May we remain with Jesus today in His suffering.

Good morning on this last Friday in February! We are enveloped this morning in thick fog as the weather is still very mild. The snow is disappearing and more will go today as it will be above the freezing point again. Last evening I attended our Small Christian Community meeting and we were 12 people in all. We looked at the Father's call at the Transfiguration to listen to His Son. We have to listen to each other and to actively listen to the Lord in our lives.
