I HOLD YOU ALL IN MY ARMS
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this cloudy morning! It seems we will get rain today which means that much of the snow will go. The taste of Spring is in the air today. Yesterday I celebrated the Holy Eucharist at a Seniors' residence in Alberton and last evening I was at the prayer meeting in Palmer Road. About 40 people were present and it was a very prayerful hour.
In my half hour with Jesus this morning, He spoke saying, "Melvin, my brother and close friend, I love you. We meet again in the desert, this bleak place, to deepen our love and relationship. I am the light who came from heaven to chase away the darkness in the hearts of all. Many still live in darkness and are far from me. They refuse to believe in me or have anything to do with me. They are closed in on themselves. Pray for these brothers and sisters of mine that they may come to the light. I have many who love and follow me. Melvin, through this message, I am expressing to all my love for them. You are members of my family. I live with you all and I fill you with my peace. Detach yourselves from all material things and do not be conformed to the standards of this world. Be conformed to me and look at me and you will know how to imitate me. I have conquered the world and you can do the same with my strength. Work with me to bring my light to your family, friends and neighbours. Through fasting and prayer, you can bring your desires and instincts in conformity with my law. I will gave you the graces you need. I hold you all in my arms. I love you."
We are continuing our Lenten journey with Jesus in the desert. Let us go to join Him there every day. We know that there is much darkness in the world these days. It is the result of unrepented sins and crimes that cry out to God. So many have hatred in their hearts and live according to their instincts. We have to learn to control our basic instincts and begin to live on a higher plane with Jesus. He is the light that can bring us out of the darkness of slavery to sin and into the freedom of the children of God. Let us look to Him and He will teach us what we should do. Jesus expresses today His great love for each one of us. We are truly His brothers and sisters who are called to imitate Him by loving every person. At the end He expresses His love for us in a very endearing way just like a mother who holds her child in her arms.
I will attend the Deanery meeting of our sector this morning and this evening I will lead the Small Christian Community in a few hours of sharing and praying. May the Lord shower us all with His light today.

CONSECRATE YOURSELF TO ME
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning! It is very calm and still as the sun is coming up. The
pink sky fills me with joy as a new day begins. Let us thank the Lord
for His marvels and let us live with Him today.
In prayer this morning, I was with Jesus in the desert. He spoke saying, "Melvin, I love you. We are still in the desert sitting at the entrance to the cave where I rest. I call you to think about heaven where all people are destined to go if they follow me in this world. Heaven is where God lives in all His glory. All the saints see God as He is and the vision is the source of their great joy. In heaven they are purified from all sins and imperfections and live in perfect union with their Lord. There is no division whatsoever among the saints; there is only harmony and unity. Selfishness cannot exist in heaven. Love, however, flowers in the hearts of all. Do everything while you are on earth in view of heaven. Any suffering you endure on earth is not worth comparing with the joys of heaven. Be determined to cooperate daily with all the graces I give you and I will come to take you with me when your time on earth is over. Never jeopardize your eternity by giving in to the temptations of Satan. Consecrate yourselves to me in total obedience and pray by keeping your eyes always fixed on me. I bless you."
This morning Jesus points us to our ultimate goal: entrance into heaven. We were made to be united forever with God in heaven. Jesus speaks about the vision of God we will have when we leave this world and go with Him. We are all called to go to heaven so let us act responsibly by coopera- ting with the graces the Lord gives us. Jesus asks that we consecrate ourselves to Him by obeying Him and praying daily. He wants us to keep our eyes fixed on Him which is what we do in contemplative prayer. Jesus also reminds us that the sufferings we have here in this world are as nothing in comparison with the joys of heaven. Let us continue our journey then with the Lord with our goal always before our eyes.
I will celebrate the Holy Eucharist at the Senior's home in Alberton
this morning at 10:00 AM. I also go to the Manor on Mondays for the
residents there. Last evening I attended the Knights of Columbus meeting
and they gave me $50.00 to help pay for Justin-Louis' air ticket to
Toronto for the World Youth Day. I am slowly receiving money for this
trip of a life-time.
May the Lord strengthen our resolve to follow Him during this season of
Lent and to break with all habits and sins that are in opposition to His
will.

WITH ME YOU CAN WIN EVERY BATTLE
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this cloudy day! The clouds that cover Nova Scotia and most
of Prince Edward Island come to an end just a bit to the west of Palmer
Road. There is a line with beautiful blue sky to the west and clouds to
the East. It will be mild today. I was in Alberton yesterday evening for
a meeting to prepare for the Feast of the Annunciation of the Lord which
is also called in some countries the Day of the Unborn. It will be cele-
brated on April 8 this year because March 25 falls during Holy Week.
I was with Jesus in the desert this morning when I entered prayer. Jesus spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my brother, I love you. I live with you every day and I am your strength. I bring you today with me to the desert. It is a place completely empty but it will bring you close to the Father and also to me. With self-denial, especially fasting and refraining from legitimate entertainment during Lent, you show that I am important in your life. During these 40 days you wish to spend more time with me in prayer and this too is important as it will deepen our relationship. My friends, be aware that the evil one is always prowling around hoping to catch you in his grip. If you are not aware of him, he will lead you unsuspecting into sin. The more you can deny yourself food and drink and be disciplined, the easier it will be to say "no" to the devil. I was tempted by him three times and I resisted him every time. I will strengthen you so that you can do the same. Learn from me by reading the Bible, especially the Gospels. With me you can win every battle, you can overcome every temptation. I love you and bless you."
Jesus spent 40 days in the desert before He began His public life. Today He brought me to that place which is so bare that there is not even a blade of grass. Yet this is the best place to meet God. Jesus spent those days in the desert in communion with His Father. We can all go to a spiritual desert to be with the Lord. We have to break with our sinful habits, our attachments and our selfishness. See what God did with the Jews by bringing them into the desert for 40 years and changing them from a group of slaves who were not so happy to leave Egypt and whose faith was weak, into His people and a new nation. God brings us into the desert to renew us as His people. He wants us to be freed from sin and attached only to Him. Jesus is our example as He spent all those days without eating or drinking with His Father. He will make us strong to fight our battles against the evil one and He tells us that with Him we will win.
May the Lord show you the way and may He always be at your side.

I GIVE YOU MY PEACE
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning! It is partly cloudy but with little wind. It is colder
than the spring-like day we had yesterday. Much of the snow disappeared
in the mild weather. I am back home after the spiritual weekend in
Tignish; 64 people attended from all over the Island. The theme of the
weekend was: The Call of Jesus. Last evening I was at Palmer Road Church
for the seminar in the Life of the Spirit with the young people who are
preparing to receive the sacrament of confirmation. I found nearly 40
e-mail letters when I returned yesterday and I have not yet finished
reading them all. Sorry for not sending you the messages of the last two
days as I had promised but I did not have time to do it yesterday.
In prayer this morning, Jesus spoke to me saying, "Melvin, I live with you, I love you. I am pleased with the spiritual weekend that ended yesterday at Tignish. I touched, through you and the others in the team, all the 64 people present. They are my friends and I desire that they continue to grow in their relationship with me. Melvin, these intense weekends are very beneficial and I want all those who believe in me to take part in them wherever they live. I had asked my Apostles at my Ascension to meet together in prayer to await the coming of the Holy Spirit. They met for ten days with my Mother and others in deep prayer to prepare for Pentecost. May all of you be able to meet at least once a year in order to intensify your life with me. All need intensive days with me to advance in the spiritual life and to detach themselves from material enslavement. I had a very intensive period of time with my Father during the 40 days in the desert. It happened just before I began my public life. I give special graces to those who go on these special days with me. I bless you all and I give you my peace."
Saint Ignatius was the one who began retreats especially the 30-day retreat. He was inspired by Our Lord to begin these month-long days of prayer with Him. Jesus now would like all Christians to go on short retreats at least once a year. They become days of renewal and bring us back to our first fervour with the Lord. Jesus tells us this morning that the Apostles spent ten days in prayer awaiting the coming of the Holy Spirit and He too went into the desert to be alone with His Father. We need such times now and then to revive us, to refresh our minds about the Lord and His teachings and to receive a further anointing of the Holy Spirit. We so quickly can become enslaved to the things of this world. These material attachments weaken our relationship with the Lord and causes us to go backward instead of forward. We need God's special grace to break with these attachments, and we can receive that help during these weekends.
I will go to the Manor in Alberton at 1:30 PM for the celebration of the
Holy Eucharist. I will also spend time with my mother who loves to come
to Mass and receive Holy Communion. She will soon celebrate her 87th
birthday.
Let us continue our journey with the Lord during this Lenten season.

I DIE SO YOU CAN HAVE LIFE
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this mild morning! It is cloudy but it is bright in the
East and some red is showing as the sun approaches the horizon. We had a
good meeting of our Small Christian Community last night; 11 people were
present as we pondered the meaning of the readings for next Sunday. We
will have them every week for the next six weeks.
I was with Jesus in prayer this morning. He spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my friend, keep me company as I have just been condemned to die and they are bringing me the cross. Pontius Pilate has decreed my death. I stand here all bloodied by the scourging and the crown of thorns on my head. I accept now the cross, the symbol of all your sins and the sins of the whole world. As they lay it on my shoulder, I feel its awful weight. Remain with me as I carry it along the streets of Jerusalem to the place of my execution. I feel so weak from the loss of blood and the blows I received for most of the night. I am ready, Melvin, to die for you and for every person in the world. It is your sins that have caused this to me. See how terrible sin is that it caused such suffering to your Saviour. Yet it is because I love you that I submitted to this torture and cruel death. My people will you have a thought for me and will you glance my way today as you go about your work? See I wish to make you my dear friends redeemed in my blood. I die so you may have life, eternal life. Walk with me as I go to Calvary to suffer and die for you."
As usual on Fridays I am with Jesus in His Passion. He makes a portion of His sufferings present to me in my prayer. The first time this happened to me was during the 30-day retreat in Jerusalem in 1990. I have just published the notes on that retreat and I am receiving these new books today. It was a directed retreat which means that I went to see my director every day for 30 to 45 minutes and told him what happened in my prayer periods the day before. I used to write every evening in my diary the experiences I had in order to share them with my director. These are the notes that form this book: My Thirty Day Retreat.
The prayer this morning with Jesus brought me, in a very vividly way, to the scene before Pilate where Jesus was condemned to die for you and me. He embraced His cross and willingly accepted it to save us all. Jesus calls us to look at Him today suffering for us. Let us take time to glance at Him who is Our Saviour and ask Him to have mercy on us sinners. Let us promise to follow Him every day. We are in the period of Lent, a time to make sacrifices to show our sorrow for the sins we have committed. It is a time of conversion, of changing our life around. Let us pray more intensely these days as we go towards Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
I am going to Tignish today for three days. I will help to give this Spiritual Weekend on the theme: The Call of Jesus. He calls us personally to be Christians, members of His Church, and to have an intimate relationship with Him. Our knowledge of Jesus is based on the Gospels. It is there that we hear His words and learn about His actions. I hope to send out another message Sunday evening.
May the Lord bless you in a special way during this Lenten season.

I GIVE YOU MY HEART
Dear Rita,
Good morning on this very beautiful day. The sun is shining bright and there is hardly a cloud in the sky. The wind is light but the tempera- ture is cold and frosty. It is a beautiful winter day. I celebrated the Holy Eucharist yesterday in Alberton in the morning and Palmer Road in the evening. The funerals of the two young men killed on skidoos also took place yesterday one in Tignish and the other at Palmer Road Church. How sad it is for the parents on such occasions.
In my prayer this morning, I was with Jesus who spoke saying, "Melvin, I embrace you, I love you. My heart burns with love for all my friends. I desire that every person on earth be my friend. Love is what will trans- form the world not selfishness. Genuine love forgets self and focuses on the other. It calls forth love from the other who is always free in his or her response. While I was on earth, I lived my life totally for you. I laboured and suffered for you. I accepted to be tortured and nailed to the cross for you. Is there greater love than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends? I call you today to ponder these words. Become a person of the heart that is always open to me and your neighbour. Too many of you are closed and afraid. Remember love drives away fear. Open yourself like a flower in the sun for all to see. It does not matter what you have been in the past, you can begin anew with me today. Let my love and my grace penetrate deeply into your heart. I will change your life around if you repent of your sins and forgive those who hurt you. I will exchange your cold heart so often filled with bitterness and anger with a heart like mine. I give you my heart. I love you as my own."
Today Jesus expresses in a very deep way His love for us. It is a love that is pure and divine. He loves us for what we are and He does not have any hidden agenda. He simply wants to be our friend who is always with us. He even wants to give us His Heart. He knows how fickle we are. Often we are cold and our heart is as hard as a stone. If we let Him, He will melt that heart of ours and let peace and joy fill us. Let us begin by repentance for our sins and forgiving all those who have harmed us in any way. Let us accept His forgiveness and feel that we are washed com- pletely in His blood. His love burns away all that is not of Him. Let us accept Jesus and cooperate with the graces He is giving us. He wants to change us and in so doing He will change our world. Are we ready this Lent to deepen our relationship with Him? Do not be afraid, is what He tells us, for there is nothing we should fear. Let love permeate your whole being by soaking in the love that Jesus has for you.
About a dozen of us will begin again this evening our small sharing group. We meet every year during Lent and Advent with the Bible and pray and share our lives together. We will meet for six weeks and we will share on the Sunday readings. May Jesus bless our efforts to come to know Him better.
May Jesus bless us all and fill us with His love.

LET US WALK HAND IN HAND
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning! The sky in the East is all red as I write this just
waiting for the sun to come up. It is so calm and still as morning
breaks. A new day is dawning for us and it is Ash Wednesday, the
beginning of a new season. I attended the cenacle last evening at the
Church and our reading was about Ash Wednesday.
Jesus was with me during my prayer this morning. He spoke saying, "Melvin, I love you. A new season begins today, Lent. Many will come to receive blessed ashes, a symbol that they wish to repent. You are all invited to come and join me in the desert where I spent 40 days without eating or drinking. I spent those days with my Father in preparation for my public life. Come and join me spiritually in order to separate yourselves from the influence of today's culture which is often opposed to me. Spend more time with me in prayer; fast in order to subdue your bodily appetites to the spiritual; repent of all your sins and visit and help those who suffer and are lonely. May you bring me to all those you meet. Be strong to fight the temptations of the evil one who came to tempt me too, but I resisted him every time. Pray for the conversion of sinners that they may cooperate with the graces I am giving them so they may leave their sinful ways and return to me. During this season of Lent open your heart to me to receive all I have for you. Let us walk hand in hand during these 40 days. I bless you all."
Today Ash Wednesday is a day of fast and abstinence. Jesus calls us to follow Him in the desert, a place I visited when I was in Israel. A desert is a place where there is nothing and one feels very close to God. There is nothing to distract you as you spend your days talking to God. Jesus spent 40 days there to remind us that the Jews spent 40 years in the desert after leaving their many years of slavery in Egypt. It was in the desert that God forged them into a people and made a covenant with them. If we have not decided yet, then let us decide today what we will do during Lent. Jesus wants us to leave our secular culture behind. This is expressed especially by all these shows on TV. It would be good to watch TV as little as possible or even none at all during this time in preparation for Easter. Let us live a simple life close to Jesus imitating Him by fasting and praying and serving others. Let us combat the Devil through the means that the Church is offering to us. Lent is also a time to receive the sacrament of confession or reconciliation and to go to Church and receive the Holy Eucharist often. Jesus wants us to walk with Him hand in hand which means to be united with Him. Let us remind ourselves to think of Him often during the day.
May the Lord give us His strength as we begin today the season of Lent.

I CALL YOU TO ENTER MY HEART
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this beautiful sunny day. It is cold but calm and the snow
is so immaculately white. What a difference a day makes!
I spent my half hour of prayer with Jesus this morning. He spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my friend, I love you. I am always with you. You have just received me in the Eucharist as you do every day and I come to live in your heart as you live in mine. If you call me I hear you. I am the greatest friend you will ever have. I wish to live in the hearts of all so that they too may be my intimate brothers and sisters. How necessary it is today to live in close union with me as this is the time of suffering. There is much darkness in the hearts of the people. It is important that they turn to me for help. Let all confess their sins humbly and ask for my pardon in the sacrament of my mercy. I am waiting for you. I will give you the grace of conversion. There are some who follow me for a while but then fall away. Their faith is weak. I say to all: Wake up! It is time to wake up from sleep and come to me. You must advance every day in your love for me and your fellow human beings. Prayer is the sure way to advance towards me. Come to prayer every day if you wish to live in me. I call you all to enter my heart. I love you."
Jesus tells us that there is much darkness in the hearts of the people. This darkness is caused by the evil one. However, the devil cannot destroy completely what the Lord has created in us. We still have free will and we can always call on the Lord for help. He is waiting for this call and when He hears us, He will act. He wants to place us in His Heart where we can be protected and surrounded by love. It is only there with Jesus that we can advance in our spiritual life, a life lived closely with Jesus. He will burn away all that is not of Him and change the darkness into light, His light. We must all remember that Jesus is necessary for us humans. We cannot advance without Him. Let us be humble and trusting and accept Jesus as our greatest friend. He will never leave us for He is faithful. Jesus placed me in His Heart some years ago and since then I feel His peace. He calls you too today to enter His Heart. In order to enter, you have to embrace the cross in your life. You have to submit completely to Jesus.
May the Lord bless you and may He give you the grace to enter His Heart.

PRAY FOR SINNERS
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning on this stormy day! It was raining when I got up but now it
has changed to snow. It is snowing hard and with the wind it will turn
into a blizzard. Everything is cancelled again today and I doubt I'll be
able to go to the Manor this afternoon.
I was with Jesus early this morning in prayer and He spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my friend, I love you. Our Mother is waiting for us as today is a special feast of hers. Let us go and visit her." I agreed and Jesus took me to her home. She greeted us saying, "Jesus and Melvin welcome and thank you for your visit. Today I am honoured under the title of Our Lady of Lourdes. I appeared to Bernadette over a period of two weeks to call the world to pray for the conversion of sinners. I asked Bernadette to go to the parish priest and tell him my request to have a church built here. I gave her my name as the Immaculate Conception, a name whose meaning she could not understand. Yet she faithfully transmitted it to the priest. Many people took my call for prayers to heart and many were converted. I came to visit you, Melvin, five times. I told you about the terrible state of the world because of sin. God the Father is so terribly offended by grievous sins and crimes today that a period of suffering is upon the world. My children, return to God and follow my Son, if you want to be saved. Reject selfishness and pride and submit to Jesus and He and I will protect you. Pray, pray often for sinners and go to church every Sunday and during the week. I bless you all, my children."
I visited the beautiful shrine of Lourdes twice in the past. I was there during my student days in 1967 and again in 1979 after a year of study at St. Louis University in Missouri. Our Lady's message to Bernadette is very simple but important. She asked the peoples of the world to pray for the conversion of sinners and to have a shrine built at Lourdes in her honour. What she asked was done and today a big church stands near the grotto where she appeared. Many people go to this blessed place to be healed in body and soul. The water of Lourdes has great healing power. The Church has instituted the Day of the Sick on February 11th and this day is celebrated at some shrine every year. The Pope writes a letter for the occasion giving afresh the message of Our Lady. Our Blessed Mother speaks about all this today in her message to us. Her message is more urgent today than it was in the 1800's. She speaks today about the crimes and the sins committed against God. The Father is so gravely offended by these people who are perverted and bent towards evil. A time of suffering is upon the world and we should take it as a warning that God has had enough and it is time to return to Him and pray with all our heart for the conversions of these hardened sinners. If we follow the Lord, He will not abandon us. He cares for us and Our Heavenly Mother loves us too. Our Lady wants us to go to Church often and be filled with great faith and love.
May the Lord bless us and may Our Lady continue to pray for us.

JESUS IS THE ANSWER
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good evening! I arrived back from Cap Pele and Dieppe, N.B. at 4:30 PM. The trip to and from the conference went well. The conference went very well with about 150 people present at the Mass in the morning. I gave two talks one in the morning and the other in the afternoon and my subject was contemplative prayer. I prayed with many of the people present. There were other speakers too. The day was well organized although it was a bit difficult because of the two languages. A good number did not understand French and others did not understand English. I stayed at the home of a wonderful couple and I called it another of my Bethanies.
My prayer for the two days Saturday and Sunday are as follows: On Saturday morning I was with Jesus who spoke saying, "Melvin, my friend and brother, I love you. Let us go today, Saturday, to visit our Mother." I said "yes" and Jesus took me to her home. She greeted us saying, "Welcome Jesus and Melvin and let us sit here in this room. I waited for your visit today for it is always a joy to see you both. Melvin, you are in Dieppe, New Brunswick, for a conference on contempla- tive prayer, this deep and intimate prayer with Jesus. How the world would be changed if all would pray in a contemplative way! Tell them that it was my prayer too for I treasured everything in my heart. We all have to develop our spiritual side which is often languishing due to too little exercise. I am calling today all my children to pray and have an intimate relationship with Jesus, the Father and also with me, their mother. It is Jesus, though, who must grow in their hearts. They have to hand over their entire lives to Him and follow Him, if they want to find real life and meaning. Jesus is the answer to all your longings. He is the joy of the believing heart. May the whole world learn this before it is too late. I love you all and Jesus loves you too."
Sunday, February 10th:
I was with Jesus in prayer early this morning. He spoke to me saying, "Melvin, I love you. You will be going home today with joy in your heart after the conference in Dieppe. You spent a day with many of my friends there and I bless all those who came to the talks. You met a person whom I put in your path and I hope a new step will be taken soon in the realization of my plan for you. It is a long time now that I called you to begin the Societies of the Brothers and Sisters of mine. It was not possible to begin until the conditions were fulfilled. Surrender to me and I will lead you and show you the way. Consider that today you begin a new phase of the work I gave you to do. When the twin societies are established together with the Families of mine and the Youth of mine, a new mentality will be born. Those who will join will be centered on me and they will live a simple lifestyle. They will reject the modern culture of materialism and consumerism in which so many people live. A new culture, the civilization of love, will begin as the present Pope has elaborated. I bless you all."
Both Our Mother Mary and Our Saviour Jesus spoke about the conference that took place on Saturday in Dieppe. A good number of people came to know about contemplative prayer and many bought the books and they will continue to study the subject in the days to come. Our Lady praises this prayer as Jesus has done in the past. Jesus on the other hand looks forward to the two societies which He wants me to begin as soon as possible. He also speaks of the Families of Jesus and the Youth for Jesus. He gives the main trust of these groups. They are to bring about in the places they exist a new culture, a new civilization, which He calls the civilization of love. Our present Pope has also spoken of this. Let us pray that what He wants will soon begin.
May the Lord bless you all and may we open our hearts to Him to receive
His gifts.

CONSECRATION TO THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY
O Mother Mary, so full of love for Your children, I come to consecrate
myself to Your Immaculate Heart. I entrust to You my whole life,
my mind and my will. Dispose of me according to Your plan for my
salvation.
Impress in my heart a true love for Jesus, Your Son, and for You,
my dear Mother. Keep me humble of heart by Your shining example.
Give me a renewed spirit of prayer and penance, a fervent love for
the Church and the Holy Eucharist, and the fervor to spread the
message of Jesus to everyone I meet.
Cover me with Your holy mantle to preserve me from every sin and to
help me practice the Christian virtues especially the virtue of purity.
Help me, dearest Mother, to do the will of the Father every day.
Amen.

Offer up your pain and suffering
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on another cloudy day! There is a bit of snow falling at the
moment but I don't think it will amount to much. I will go to New
Brunswick today in order to be at the conference in Dieppe by 8:00 AM
tomorrow morning.
At prayer this morning I was with Jesus in His Passion. He spoke to me saying, "Melvin, come near to me. I am tied here in the dungeon and it is dark and cold. They threw me here after my arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane. I am tied with chains that are attached to the wall of this underground place. I am about to be tried and condemned to death. I have freely accepted to suffer and die for you and all the people in order to take your sins away. Look at me a prisoner instead of you. You have sinned and you deserve to be beaten and hanged but out of love for you, I am taking your place. I am your Messiah, your Saviour, the Son of God. I have never sinned but all the sins of the people until the end of the world have been heaped on my shoulders. I am the Lamb of God who is about to die for you that you may become the beloved children of the Father and heirs with me to the joys of paradise. Offer up all your pain and troubles to the Father together with mine for your conversion and the conversion of the whole world. I love you all and let us be united every day through prayer and service."
I felt very sad to be with Jesus in that cold and dark dungeon where He was shackled for a while. He knew what was in store for Him but He agreed to go through with it for our sake. It is out of love for you and me that He underwent such torture and pain until His death on the cross. Are we not moved by what Jesus did for us? His suffering is eternal as He is the Son of God. He wants us to give our hearts to Him today and to remain close to Him at all times. Let us spend time with Him in prayer to show Him our love and to thank Him for the supreme sacrifice of Himself for us. Let us be active members of His Church which is His own Body. Indeed may we all be converted to Him and let us pray for the conversion of all the people of the world.
I am going to New Brunswick today and I will be back only on Sunday. So,
I will send you the next message sometime on Sunday. May the Lord bless
us all as we unite our sufferings to His.

LET US DEEPEN OUR RELATIONSHIP
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning! What a beautiful morning with the sun shining so
majestically and there is hardly a cloud in the sky! It was bitter cold
overnight but many turned up just the same for the prayer meeting last
evening. It was a powerful evening as we praised and thanked God for all
He does in our lives. I found the hour went by very fast. I asked for
prayers for this Saturday's conference in Dieppe near Moncton.
I had a very special prayer with Jesus early this morning. He spoke to me saying, "Melvin, I love you. I am your brother and your Redeemer. I freely gave myself to death to free you from your sins, so you could become a friend of God. The gulf between you and I was destroyed on the Cross, so now we can be friends and live in a loving relationship daily. Melvin, I suffered all this for you and for every person on earth. My friends, I paid the price for your sins because I love you. Do not stray far away from me. Do not live in darkness any longer. Come to me, believe in me with all your heart and accept me as your Redeemer. Let us begin our life together. Remember I care for you today in the same intense way as I did on the Cross. Can I forget you for whom I died such a cruel death? Give me all you are and I will give you my life. Let me fill you with my light, my dear brothers and sisters. Do not be afraid of me, your brother, but open your heart to me and you will find fulfillment, love and peace. Let us deepen our relationship every day. The world is passing away but our relationship will last forever. I bless you and embrace you."
Jesus' words this morning are filled with immense love for us. He poured His Heart to me with such an intense love, that He brought tears to my eyes. Can we reject such a loving God and brother? Can we remain cold to such a wonderful invitation to a close relationship with Jesus? Let us today make the decision to belong to Him alone and to get rid of all aspects of darkness in our lives. Jesus is the new dawn, the new light, who wants to give us Himself and change our lives around. Let us submit to Him without looking back and let us deepen our relationship with Him. This relationship which starts here on earth will continue forever with Him in heaven. He will be with us in every adversary, every trial. He will never desert us for He is faithful. Let us come to Him without fear for He is our loving brother. He asks us to trust in Him.
May Jesus fill you with His love and fulfill all your desires.

I CALL YOU ALL TO LEARN FROM ME
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this cold and partly cloudy day! My little car is repaired
and road worthy again. I had to go twice to the garage to get that back
wheel working properly. I attended the cenacle last evening at Palmer
Road Church. Tonight I will be there again for the prayer meeting.
In my half hour of contemplative prayer, Jesus spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my brother, I love you. You experienced my presence many times in your life. In retreats I was with you in a special way as I showed you the road you were to follow. In Chilubula, Zambia, Central Africa, on that day many years ago, I called you at 3:00 AM to go to church and I spoke to you for hours. Again at Chilubula, you experienced the beautiful aroma of roses that came from the chalice and the hosts after the consecration and this lasted until Communion. You experienced this phenomenon for a whole week. In Rome I spoke to you so intimately about the mission I was giving you. In Jerusalem during your 30 day retreat, I shared my Passion with you. You lived the Passion with me for two weeks. At Palmer Road Church of the Immaculate Conception, I spoke to you during the celebration of the Eucharist, calling you to start the Brothers and Sisters of mine. I called you too a few years ago to write the books on contemplative prayer. Today through you, Melvin, I call all my friends to learn from me, to pray daily especially the prayer of my heart, contemplative prayer, and to imitate me by loving every person. You are all consecrated to me. I love you all."
Jesus brought back to me many wonderful memories of His intervention in my life. Jesus made me experience His presence and I treasure His words spoken to me so many times. I will never forget His call at 3:00 AM to go to Church. He spoke to me for a long time and I felt as if Jesus was just next to me. The living of the Passion with Jesus during my retreat in Jerusalem is always with me. I felt as if Jesus was undergoing His Passion in my very soul and I was joined with Him through it all. It is through these experiences that I have come to know and love Jesus and to live with Him. I know that He cares for us and He is not far from us. He loves us all wherever we are and He accepts us as we are. He calls us all this morning to learn from Him and to pray every day. Let us love every person even those who have hurt us.
Let us open our hearts to the Lord to receive His love and peace.

YOU WILL BE MY PEOPLE AND I WILL PROTECT YOU
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning! It is cold and windy but no snow. There are clouds but I hope the sun will come out later. I had a breakdown with my little car (Sprint) yesterday on my way back from the Manor. I had to leave it at the garage. One wheel was making a lot of noise. I hope to get it this morning.
Jesus took me to the Father in prayer this morning. Jesus began to speak saying, "Melvin, I love you. You come again this morning to spend time with me and this delights my heart. Let us go now to visit Our Father." I agreed and Jesus took me to the Father's heavenly throne. The Father spoke saying, "Come and sit here. Welcome Jesus and Melvin. Jesus, my Son, you are my joy. Your great sacrifice is always before me. Melvin, my son, I love you. Continue to grow in your intimate relationship with Jesus and work in union with Him. Make my words and His known to all those who believe and follow us. I call you all, my dear people, to live as people of faith. May you be a people of prayer, of love and of good works. Offer your lives to me through Jesus and you will find peace. Remain close to Jesus and me. Break the hold of the world on you. This is the time of suffering, so turn away from all sin and follow the commandments I gave you. You will be my people and I will protect you. Get rid of all anger and resentment and live with love in your hearts for all. Have a close relationship with my Son, Jesus, who is your Saviour. I bless you all. Melvin, I will now bless you." I knelt down to receive the Father's blessing.
What a wonderful experience to be with the Father who is full of love for His children. He is always ready to bless us and to give us what we need. He calls us to be united with Jesus and to have a loving relationship with Him. Let us make acts of faith in Him for He is our Creator and He keeps us in existence at every moment of the day or night. He tells us again that we are in the time of suffering, so He calls us close to Him and to Jesus. Let us be His people, the New People of God, and He will protect and care for us.
Let us show our love for our Heavenly Father and for Jesus, His Son, and Our Saviour. May the Father bless us all and give us His peace.

COME WITHOUT FEAR TO CONSULT MY PRIESTS
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this cloudy Monday morning! We will have flurries today but the sun might come out this afternoon. I will go to the Manor this afternoon for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist with the residents. It is always a great joy for me to offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass with these holy people.
This morning Jesus spoke about priests and He began by saying, "Melvin, sharer in my priesthood, I love you. I chose you long ago to be a priest in my church. You have been given a great power to change the bread and wine into my Body and Blood. You absolve in my name the sins of those who repent. You are a chosen instrument of mine to make me known to all those who seek me. In accepting and welcoming you, my dear friends know they are accepting and welcoming me. Let all know that priests are necessary for the church and may they all pray for their priests that they may be faithful to their calling. Pray too that many will answer my call to be priests. I call all priests to submit to me and to have a loving relationship with me whom they are to bring to others. May they be detached from the world and generous in giving of themselves for my church. All of you, my friends, come without fear to consult my priests and take to heart what they tell you. Priests are to be submitted to their Bishop or superiors and obey them as Bishops are submitted to the Pope and act in union with him. I love you all."
Jesus is concerned today with priests and bishops. They were chosen by Jesus Himself and He gives them the graces of their calling. However, they need to have a close relationship with Him. The patron saint of priests is St. John Marie Vianney, who was parish priest of Ars in France. He would rise at midnight every day and go to church and pray until morning. He transformed that little parish of his from a place where hardly any people prayed to a thriving parish of people with great faith. Jesus heard his prayer for the people and answered it with an outpouring of grace. We priests must be men of prayer who spend long hours with the Lord. Our Holy Father, the Pope, is also a great example for priests and bishops for he is a man of prayer. He prays and contem- plates morning and evening for long periods. If we are united with Jesus then our ministry can be meaningful and He will make it fruitful. Jesus is telling us today that we need holy priests and bishops. Priests have to be submitted to their bishops and superiors and the bishops must follow the Pope. We have a great need today for unity in the Church. In this way, the flock will be fed and Jesus will be glorified in their lives. Remember we have a vast number of good and faithful priests and bishops. They are a great honour for the Church. Let us pray regularly for them all that they will cooperate daily with the graces the Lord is giving them. A priest's door is always ready to open and any person may come and knock. Do not fear to open your heart to them for they are the doctors of your soul.
Let us thank the Lord for our priests and bishops and may He bless them
with peace and love.
