ENTER THE KINGDOM WHERE JESUS REIGNS
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning on this bright and sunny day! The sun came up so gloriously and brought cheer to my heart. I think we here in Eastern Canada will have a great weekend as far as the weather goes. I will be at Tignish Parish this weekend. The parish priest is gone to Toronto to accompany a sick priest who has to see a specialist there. He will not be home before Wednesday. I am very happy to be at this large parish where most of the people go to church regularly.
This morning in prayer I was with Jesus and Our Blessed Mother Mary. As I began Jesus spoke to me saying, "Melvin, you are mine. I love you. I live in your heart for you are my friend. Let us go now and visit Our Mother." I agreed wholeheartedly and Jesus brought me to her home. Our Mother Mary greeted us saying, "Welcome Jesus and Melvin. What joy it is to me to receive your visit! Come and sit down. My motherly heart goes out to you and all my children. Melvin, you are now in the period of suffering which I spoke about in the past. It is the time to intensify your prayers and your sacrifices for the peoples of the world caught up in the inferno of evil and sin. Sin is so widespread that the Father has decided to act. All you, my children, come and shelter in my Immaculate Heart until the time of my triumph. Melvin, it is urgent that my sanctuary be built here on the Island as I have asked in the past. It will be a refuge for all my children on the Island and beyond who are Jesus' friends. Wherever you are my children, come to your Mother and I will protect you and bring you to Jesus, my Son, who loves you with all His Heart. I call you all to leave sin behind and enter the Kingdom where Jesus reigns. I bless you all."
Our Lady expressed her great love for each one of us this morning. She calls us all to her Immaculate Heart to find peace and shelter there. She is truly a mother who wants to protect all her children. She knows that we are in the time of suffering but she wants to be our refuge. She calls again for the shrine on the Island as a place where she will protect many of those who will fly to her. She speaks of the Kingdom inaugurated by Jesus where He is king. The Church belongs to the Kingdom and we enter it by baptism. Our Lady always points us to her Son, Jesus, and calls us to follow Him. Let us commit ourselves to Him and live closely united to Him. Our Mother also calls us to intensify our prayers and our sacrifices for the conversion of the world.
May Jesus give us strength to follow Him today and every day. May we spread His message of love to everyone we meet.

JOIN YOUR SUFFERINGS TO MINE
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning! The sun is about to appear after a few inches of snow fell
overnight. What a warm and sunny day we had yesterday. The snow was
melting for a good part of the afternoon. I take a walk every day now
because of my diabetes.
This morning in prayer I was with Jesus as He carried His cross. He
spoke to me saying, "Melvin, I am suffering for you. I am in great pain
as I carry my cross to Calvary. Come and join me and help me carry my
cross. I am bleeding all over from the lashes of the whip. I can hardly
stand from the loss of blood. The crown of thorns on my head causes me
to have a terrible headache. The cross too is very heavy loaded with all
your sins. I can hardly move it but with your help we can drag it along
the way. I can hardly see with the blood flowing from the wounds in my
head. Melvin, I am so weak. I feel I am about to fall. I feel I cannot
go another step further. Yet the soldiers and the people are pushing me
and shouting at me. As you see, I am on my way to my crucifixion today
because I love you and all my friends. Join your sufferings to mine and
let us go together to Calvary. I am going to atone for your sins and the
sins of all the people of today. I freely give my life so that you may
all be saved. Keep me company in my sufferings."
As Jesus' sacrifice is an eternal sacrifice, He can make us experience
it at any time. His one sacrifice can be perpetuated throughout all
time. This morning I relived a part of His Passion again as I did when I
was in Jerusalem. During my 30 day retreat there I experienced the whole
Passion of Our Lord over a period of two weeks. I felt as far as it is
possible the pain of it all with Jesus. He shared what He went through
with me. This morning He wishes to remind us that His salvific sacrifice
is still very actual and He wants us to join Him in His Passion for the
salvation of the people of the world. Let us offer to Him every
suffering to be used by Him as He deems fit. Our sufferings join to His
will make a difference. Let us remain with Jesus today and let us
comfort Him with our prayers and our good actions.
May the Lord, through His death and resurrection, give us an increase of
faith and the courage to follow Him every day.

I WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this beautiful clear morning! We got only a few centimeters
of snow yesterday and so I could go to Tignish for the Eucharistic
Celebration at 10:30 AM. The roads were clear but there was no school in
the area.
At prayer this morning, Jesus spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my friend, I
love you. I fill you with my peace. I give my peace to all my friends.
No one can give this peace except me for it is my gift to all who follow
me. There can be turmoil all around you and you might have important
decisions to take, yet you will experience my peace if you are united to
me. Many search for this peace in alcohol and drugs but they are
deceived. There is no peace in these things but only deception and pain.
Many are deceived by the evil one who leads them along the wrong path.
Others think that money is the answer to everything. If they have enough
then it will bring them happiness, but there is no peace there as
material things do not satisfy the heart for long. Others follow all
kinds of perversion: sexual, diabolical, witchcraft, etc., but these
bring only enslavement and darkness. I am the only one who can bring
peace to your hearts for you were made for me. Only in me will you find
rest for your souls. Come and spend time with me and I will refresh you.
I will give you peace and joy. I love you and I want to be your friend."
There are so many people who feel empty and useless these days. I was
talking to a young person a few days ago who spent her Christmas
holidays in deep despair. She even thought of suicide. She could not
find any reason to live. This beautiful person is just past 20, well
educated and in good physical health. How many are there in this
situation today? What a tragedy that a person who has the whole world in
front of her should feel so empty. I believe it says something not too
flattery about our secular society today. Jesus addresses this situation
this morning as He calls us all to be His friends. He can change our
lives around. He can bring light, peace and joy where there was only
darkness and confusion before. Let us listen to Him with all our hearts
and come to Him with trust and faith. This love relationship with our
Brother Jesus is the perfect solution for the ills of every person in
our society. Through this relationship our ego will diminish, our
appetites and instincts will be subordinated to Him and our greed and
selfishness will be checked. We will need less to live in peace and joy
with the Lord. A great philosopher once wrote that we could change the
world if every person would go to his or her room for quiet prayer for
half an hour a day. Give that time to Jesus every day in contemplative
prayer and you will be a renewed person.
May Jesus smile on you today and give you His peace and joy.

I LONG FOR YOUR LOVE
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning on this snowy day! It did not snow much overnight but now
it is coming down more heavily. There is not much wind and it is mild.
I'm suppose to be in Tignish for the 10:30 Mass and I don't know yet if
I'll be able to make it.
Jesus spoke to me this morning in my prayer. He began by saying, "Melvin
I love you, my brother and companion. I placed you in my heart long ago
for you are dear to me. I love all my friends. May they all open their
hearts to me. The wounds in my hands, feet and side are the proofs that
I love you. I suffered greatly for you especially during my public life
and during my passion. Think of the blood I shed in the garden of
Gethsemane or the lashes I received at the pillar. All these I suffered
for you. I wore the crown of thorns throughout my passion with those
long thorns embedded in my head and blood pouring out of those wounds.
What torture I suffered in my weakened state as I was forced to carry
the heavy cross along the streets of Jerusalem. Look at me being nailed
to the cross for you and hanging there for three hours in excruciating
pain till death. My dear brothers and sisters, I suffered all this for
love of you. Why do you reject me? Why do you not accept me as your
Saviour? Why do you not love me? I long for your love. I desire to save
you. Open your heart to my love."
Jesus' words today are a cry from the heart. His deep love for us cries
for a response from us. He has given His whole life for us. All the
pain, the suffering and even death on the cross was out of love for you
and me. Why are we so slow to come to Him and open our hearts to Him?
Often our hearts are so cold that we reject our loving Saviour who alone
can help us. Let us take Jesus' words to heart today. Let us repent of
our sins and begin a loving relationship with Him if we have not done so
already. He is waiting for us.
I wrote a short consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary at her
bidding. Here is what I wrote:
Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
O Mother Mary, so full of love for your children, I come to consecrate
myself to your Immaculate Heart. I entrust to you my whole life, my
mind and my will. May you dispose of me according to your plan for my
salvation.
Impress in my heart a true love for Jesus, your Son, and for you, my
dear Mother. Keep me humble of heart as you showed us by your shining
example.
Give me a renewed spirit of prayer and penance, a fervent love for the
Church and the Holy Eucharist, and the fervor to spread the message of
Jesus to all those I meet.
May you cover me with your holy mantle to preserve me from every sin
and to help me practice the Christian virtues especially purity. Help
me, dearest Mother, to do the will of the Father every day. Amen.
May Jesus and Our Blessed Mother bless you all.

JESUS WILL PROTECT YOU AND ALL HIS FRIENDS
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this cloudy day! The wind has died down but there is
another snowstorm coming. There is not much snow yet and most Islanders
are enjoying the winter so far.
In prayer this morning, Jesus spoke saying, "Melvin, I embrace you, my
brother. My love for you is everlasting. Let us go this morning to visit
our Father." Jesus took me to the throne of our Heavenly Father. I knelt
down before Him in adoration. He spoke to Jesus and me saying, "Jesus,
my Son, and Melvin, my adopted son, come and sit near me. Jesus your
sacrifice for the peoples of the world is always before me. I thank you
for being the Saviour of the world. Melvin, my dear son, I bless you for
being Jesus' close friend. He will protect you and all His friends from
what is upon the world. I have had enough of the atrocities, hatred,
greed and selfishness of so many people who do not want to repent but
offend me every day. The time has arrived for what has been predicted in
the Bible. A period of suffering and chastisement is here. You will
remember the Babylon exile of my people, the Jewish people, as reported
in the Old Testament. I withdrew my protection from the people and their
chastisement began and lasted 70 years. This period is now upon the
world so I call all to fall upon their knees and repent of their sins
and come and follow Jesus, their Saviour. The father has to discipline
his children in order to bring them back to the right path. May you all
take this to heart. Jesus, I love you, my Son. Melvin, I bless you and
all Jesus' friends. You are to continue to give our Word to the world."
The words of the Father today are sober words. He refers to the Old
Testament and the Babylon exile. You may read it in 2 Chronicles 36, 15
- 23. Verse 21 states: "All this was to fulfill the word of the Lord
spoken to Jeremiah: Until the land has retrieved its lost sabbaths,
during all the time it lies waste it shall have rest while seventy years
are fulfilled." The Jewish people suffered much during these years of
exile but after they repented they returned to their land and God
forgave them. If we read Matthew 24 we have something similar. We are
told about the calamities and the great tribulation. This is what the
Father is referring to this morning. It is not the end of the world but
a period of suffering which is upon us. It depends on us how long it
will last. It is a period of discipline for the wayward children that
they repent and return to their Father. The call of the church to
repentance falls on deaf ears mostly. The killing of the unborn goes on
and many other crimes are committed against God. During the time of
discipline many will listen and return to the Lord. Every one will hear
plainly and all will decide one way or another. Let us pray that they
turn to the Lord and be saved. If we follow the Lord then there is no
reason to be afraid. Jesus will be close to us. Let us all shelter in
the heart of Jesus.
May the Lord increase our faith in Him and fill us with His love.

I LOVE YOU ALL MY CHILDREN
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on the Feast of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys, our great Canadian
saint. The sun is not shining yet but it will be shortly. It is all
clear in the west and the wind is blowing the rest of the clouds away.
I feel well and I had a very good sleep. Yesterday evening my blood
sugar was 9.4, the lowest it has been so far. I keep away from pies,
cakes, cookies and all those lovely chocolates. I think I will survive.
I was with Jesus and Mary in my prayer this morning. Jesus began by
saying, "Melvin, I love you. I am Jesus who suffered and died for you
and all my friends. Let us go and visit our Mother on this day dedicated
to her." I agreed and Jesus took me to her home. She welcomed us saying,
"Jesus and Melvin welcome. I am delighted to see you both. Come and sit
down. How many times have I come to earth to warn the people to return
to the Lord and repent of their sins. Most are deaf to my appeals. They
refuse to listen to me. They continue as before their sinful ways and
offend God more and more every day. The heavenly Father has had ENOUGH.
He will withdraw His protection from the world and a period of suffering
will soon begin. My Son, Jesus, has been talking to you especially in
the evening about what is about to happen. In my great sorrow, I call
all my children to listen attentively to my words: stop offending God,
believe and follow Jesus, your Redeemer, return to the Church and pray,
pray, pray every day especially the rosary. Make reparations to the
Father for the terrible offenses committed against Him and my Son. Fast
so that the sufferings which are upon you may be lessened. I love you
all my children." Jesus confirmed what Our Lady said in these words:
"I confirm everything which my Mother has just told you."
Our Blessed Mother was very sorrowful today as she spoke of what is
coming upon the world. God cannot stand any longer the sins committed
against Him. Our Lady knows about this and this is why she has this
special call to us this morning. People must return to God now and
repent of their sins. Jesus is the only one who can save us. Let us fly
to Him and live in close union with Him. The prayer of His Heart is
contemplative prayer which unites us closely to Him. Our Lady wants us
to pray the rosary every day. Let us make reparation to God for all the
horrible and despicable sins against Him. We can lessen the chastisement
that is upon us.
May the Lord bless you and walk with you every day.

I CALL YOU TO JOIN ME
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning! What a storm we had overnight--plenty of snow, freezing
rain and high winds. We lost power at 6:30 last evening and it only came
on about 2:30 in the wee morning. It was not very cold and the fact
there was no heat in the house did not stop me from sleeping. I was at
Tignish Parish for two Masses yesterday and many people attended
especially the one at 11:00.
In my prayer with Jesus this morning, He spoke to me saying, "Melvin, I
am Jesus, your Brother. I love you. I am here with you this morning as
you begin your prayer. Melvin, there is so much coldness in the hearts
of many in the world today. It feels just like the cold wintry wind that
blew overnight. They dismiss me with a word or a curse as if I was just
a bad dream. I have many friends, though, who welcome me, enthrone me in
their hearts and who come to be with me every day. You, my friends, are
my little flock who are so special to me whom I keep close to my heart.
Do not get discouraged by the state of the world but have trust in me,
your friend. I will not abandon you, for how can I forget those for
whom I died on the cross. I am always faithful and I long for you, who
are near me and for those who are far away. May you all come and live
with me. Pray for the conversion of the people of the world for there is
little time now. Let those who are not baptized believe in me and seek
baptism. Let those living in sin repent with all their heart and return
to me. So many people are throwing their eternity away because of pride,
greed and pursuing the wrong goals. I call you all to join me as one
large family. I love you."
Jesus' words today shows His tender love for each one of us. He wants to
join us all together with Him as one big family of brothers and sisters.
He craves for our love because He loves us so much. How painful it can
be when the one you love does not love in return. His heart is so hurt
by the sins and insults of so many people. These are the cold hearted
people He talks about. Let us trust in Him and remember that He is
always faithful. His call today to pray for the conversion of the people
of the world is a call from His heart. He does not want to lose any
person His Father has created. He loves them all and He is calling them.
Let us pray that they will submit to Jesus and find the peace they are
looking for in Him.
The school buses did not go by this morning and the plows have not yet
opened the roads. With the wind there are snow banks here and there. I
don't know if I will be able to go to the Manor at 1:30 today. I wish to
thank again all those who have written to me and prayed for me. I must
have received 25 e-mail letters yesterday. I cherish every one of them.
The expression of love for Jesus and Our Blessed Mother in the letters
brought tears to my eyes. Many of you are also praying that the shrine
become a reality soon on the Island.
May the Lord fill you with peace and joy.

I CALL YOU TODAY TO GIVE YOURSELF TO ME
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning on the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord! It is still dark as I write this but there is no wind and no snow. I thank all the diabetics who wrote to me from all over the world encouraging me in my battle to keep my blood sugar down. I thank you too for all your advice. My blood sugar was down to 7.2 yesterday evening and that made me very happy.
In my prayer early this morning Jesus spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my bosom friend, I love you. I was waiting early this morning for you to come and join me. I desire so much this conversation with you every day. Today is the Feast of my Baptism in the Jordan River. John was baptizing the people as a sign of their repentance. I had no need of repentance as I had no sins. Do you think it was only a ritual I went through? No, it was more than that. Why was it so important that the Holy Spirit appeared and the Father spoke at my Baptism? Let me ask still another question: Why is a wedding such an important affair and why is ordination to the priesthood such a great occasion? These are holy celebrations where a 'yes' is given and a special power is conferred by the Holy Spirit. This power unites a man and a woman and makes them husband and wife and ordination empowers a man to be a priest and to act as a priest. In my case the Baptism in the Jordan meant that I accepted the role of Saviour given to me by my Father. The baptism symbolizes that I put on all the sins of the world and entered the water to die for them. As I was immersed in the water, I symbolically died for them and when I came out of the water that signified my resurrection. Having said 'yes' to the Father's call, I was filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit and the Father proclaimed for all to hear how pleased He was with me. I state today that I came for each one of you to take your sins away and to make you my friends. I personally chose to be your Saviour because I love you. I answered positively the call of my Father. I call you today to give yourself to me and to be a member of my Church. You are dear to me."
Today let us thank the Lord for saying "yes" to the call of His Father to be our Saviour. No wonder the Father was so pleased with His Son and the Holy Spirit came upon Him. Jesus came on earth for a special mission. He accepted this mission and carried it out completely. He is a great example to us all. He is the one who calls us to follow Him as committed Christians working in the Christian community. He is calling us again today to commit ourselves completely to Him and not to keep anything back. He will empower us with the Holy Spirit to carry out all our obligations as a Christian. We will be His friends and we will have a close relationship with Him.
I will be at Tignish Parish Church this morning for the celebration of
the Holy Eucharist at 9:00 and also at 11:00. May the Lord bless you on
the Feast of His Baptism and may we all commit our lives to Him today.

OPEN YOUR HEART TO ME
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings and best wishes on this second Friday of the year! We had some
snow yesterday but today it is calm and partly cloudy. My blood sugar is
going down. It was 10.9 this morning but it has to go down some more.
In my prayer this morning, Jesus spoke to me saying, "Melvin, I am
always with you. I love you. I brought you and all my friends the gift
of divine life when I came to live among you. This gift cost me great
suffering and death on the cross. I atoned for all your sins and made
you all my brothers and sisters by the gift of sanctifying grace which
is divine life. All Christians who are free from mortal sin have this
gift of divine life in their hearts. They are united with me and they
will journey with me all through life. The only thing that destroys
divine life in the soul is serious sin. Through repentance and the
sacrament of confession I restore this divine life in them. This reality
of divine life in your hearts can grow and be enriched every day by
prayer and good acts. The greater the relationship between us, the
stronger divine life will be in you. Think of the vine and the branches.
You know that I am the vine and you are the branches. If you remain in
me you will bear much fruit. Open your heart to me every day. I love you
all."
The teaching of Our Lord this morning is at the heart of the spiritual
life. Our relationship with Jesus cannot begin unless we have the gift
of divine life in us. It is given to us at baptism and we should cherish
it all the days of our life. The Lord is so generous that He gives us a
share in His own life. I love the beautiful passage in the Gospel of
John (Chapter 15, 1 - 8). It is about the vine and the branches which
Jesus referred to this morning. The branches cannot have life unless
they are in the vine and the life of the vine flows to the branches. The
vine is Jesus and we are the branches. We have to be in Jesus if we are
to have divine life flowing through us. Let us remain united to Him
always.
May divine life flow from Jesus to your heart and may you bear much
fruit.

LIVE IN UNION WITH ME
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good afternoon! I arrived home at noon today after three days in the hospital. The reason the doctor admitted me was to bring down my blood sugar which was very high and to teach me how to live with diabetes. I was given a small course about what diabetes is all about, the importance of exercise, diet and possible complications. The doctor put me on four tablets a day and I hope I don't have to go on injections. I got all that is needed to measure the sugar in my blood. It is not too complicated with the glucometer they have now. I will try to manage now on my own and I will go and see the doctor again in two weeks. My blood sugar is still high but it has come down about 8 points and I hope it continues to go down, otherwise I will have to go on the needle. I feel well perhaps a bit weak from the little food they give at the hospital. I will have to cut out almost all pastries, chocolate etc., but I can "cheat" once in awhile.
I had my regular half hour of prayer every day in the hospital and what follows is my prayer this morning. Jesus spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my brother, I love you. I fill your heart with my love and joy. I am your friend who is always with you. All of you who read this: you are my friends if you love me. Melvin, although you are in hospital, you came to spend time with me morning and evening and you carried out all your spiritual exercises. You followed the same rythm of prayers as before you entered. Remember I do not love you less because you have diabetes and it is not a punishment from me. This sickness and all other sicknesses for that matter do not come from me but they are the result of sin committed at the beginning by your first parents. My Father created them free of sickness and death, but sin brought these evils into the world. This shows the power of evil sin has. Sin destroys or disfigures the good my Father created. Sin on the spiritual plane caused a great chasm between my Father and the people of the world. No human being could be saved and enter heaven before a saviour would come. I came into the world as the Saviour to restore the link between you and my Father by atoning for all your sins. Those who believe in me and accept me as their Saviour, I transform into beloved children of my Father. However, I did not take away sickness and death. These will only be taken away at my second coming. By my Passion and death I gave you the gift of Divine Life which you received at Baptism. This gift enables the Father, the Holy Spirit and I to live in your heart. It is a great gift which will enable you to reach heaven if you are faithful. Strengthen this gift in you by being in union with me every day. I love you all."
When one is faced with sickness, certain questions come to our minds.
These could be: is this sickness a punishment from God? Has Jesus
stopped loving me? Why does God not help me in my sickness? Jesus told
me this morning that He does not love me less although I have this
sickness. He also said that this sickness does not come from Him. Sin is
the cause of sickness and death and ultimately sin is a rejection of God
and the following of Satan. He is behind all this suffering and even
death. All those of us who are sick or suffering in any way, let us not
abandon the Lord but come even closer to Him. He can help us in our
misery.
While I was in hospital I felt so much peace and joy and I know the Lord
gave me all this because of your prayers. I thank you all for praying
for me. Many wrote to me assuring me of their prayers. I am home now
full of peace and I put this diabetes of mine in the hands of the Lord.
He will deal with it in His own time. Let us continue to pray for one
another. There are so many sick people and many much worst off than
myself. Let us pray for them every day.
May the Lord keep you all close to Him and give you the gift of joy.

I AM GUIDING YOU ALONG THE WAY
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this winter day! It is snowing heavily as I write this.
There is already a few inches of snow on the ground and we will get more
before this is over. There is no wind but it is dark. The snow is coming
down in large flakes and seems so light and fluffy. It might turn to
rain later on.
I spent my usual time with the Lord this morning and He spoke to me
saying, "Melvin, I love you. I accept your offering of yourself and I
bless you and all my friends. I keep them all close to my heart. We are
climbing the mountain and getting closer and closer to the summit where
my Father lives. Every step we make deepens our relationship and unites
us more intimately. At the same time I am teaching you about yourself
and the role I play in your journey. I reveal more and more of myself to
you. The climbing at times is not easy and you might want to turn back
but you are not alone. Just take my hand and I will help you to climb.
At times you might feel you are not advancing or you might doubt that I
am with you. These are temptations and during these times you need to
exercise your faith in me. Make acts of faith and know that I am near
you guiding you along the way. Believe in my words, 'I am with you
always until the end of the age.' The trial will past and you will feel
my presence and joy will fill your heart. Come and spend time with me
every day and you will advance daily. I love you all."
The spiritual life is like the climbing of the mountain. We have to
travel light and have a guide to show us the way. We empty ourselves of
all extra baggage such as attachments to material things and we join
Jesus, our guide, and we begin our ascend with Him. Jesus tells us today
that it is not always easy. We get tired and we want to go back down
again. We might feel alone and discouraged but our faith tells us that
Jesus is right there with us. We feel at times that we are stuck in the
mud as it were and are not advancing but with Jesus there is always
progress even if it is at times a bit slow. Jesus is teaching us all the
time, if we spend time with Him. He gives us the strength and
encouragement we need to go on. His grace is always there if we
cooperate with Him. The most important part of the journey is that we
are doing it with Jesus. We just have to trust Him for He is guiding us.
I'll be entering hospital this afternoon so I will not send you a
message for the next three days. Thank you for your prayers, which are a
great help to me. I feel them in a special way for I am filled with joy
and peace. May the Lord bless you for interceding for me. May He shower
His love upon you and strengthen you every day in your walk with Him.

REMAIN CLOSE TO MY HEART
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning on the Feast of the Epiphany of the Lord! It is cloudy this
morning but the clouds are breaking up at least in the East. There is no
wind and no snow yet. I celebrated the Holy Eucharist in French last
evening at our church. The singing was very good and I enjoyed some of
the old French Christmas hymns. I remembered you all, dear readers of
these messages, at that Mass.
In my prayer this morning, I began by offering myself completely to the
Lord that He may do with me as He wish. Then Jesus spoke to me saying,
"Melvin, I love you and I thank you for offering yourself completely to
me this morning as you began your prayer. I am here very close to you. I
am your brother who cares for you. On this feast of my Epiphany, when I
was manifested to the Gentiles, I reassure the whole world that I am
your Saviour. I came to save every one of you, my brothers and sisters.
How I wish that all would come and live with me. I would lead you all on
the way to the promised land. I am leading a small band, a remnant, that
are loyal to me and very close to me. You little flock, you are very
dear to me, you are my joy! You are the true descendants of the Magi who
came to honour and adore me as a child in Bethlehem. Your devotion and
your love delight my heart who is so often offended and insulted these
days. Let us be close friends who enjoy each other's company and may our
friendship grow every day. You have accepted me and we live in love with
our hearts as one. Do not fear the future for I am with you. Remain
close to my heart. I love you all."
On the Feast of the Epiphany of the Lord, Jesus shows us His great love
for His little flock. By "little flock" He means those people who love
Him with all their heart and who love to spend time with Him in prayer.
They are an example to all their fellow human beings and are ready to
give an explanation to anyone about their love for Jesus. They also love
His Church and receive devoutly the Holy Eucharist as often as they can.
They have no anger or hatred in their hearts but pray that all be
converted and come and follow Jesus. They also make reparations to the
Heart of Jesus for all the offenses and insults He receives every day.
What sufferings He undergoes at the cruel outrages committed against Him
of so many of those who reject Him and no longer believe in Him even
though they did believe in Him when they were young! Let us pray for
their conversion that they may repent of their sins and accept Jesus as
their Lord. Let us offer ourselves every day to the Lord to do only His
will. Let us give time to Him in prayer especially the prayer He so much
loves, contemplative prayer. In this prayer we commune with Him from the
heart. It is an exchange of love among friends. May our faith increase
so that we know that we are always there with Him and let us open our
hearts to accept all the graces and gifts that He wants to give us.
Indeed, let us remain close to His Heart.
May the Feast of the Epiphany of the Lord bring you an increase of love
for Jesus, His Blessed Mother and all the saints. May we take another
step closer to Him.

I BLESS YOU ALL MY CHILDREN
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning! What a beautiful day with the sun shining bright in the
clear blue sky. The wind has died down but it is cold enough. There is
hardly any snow on the ground and we don't expect any soon. I wish to
thank all those who are praying for me. I received many e-mail with
promises of prayer. I will enter hospital on Monday for three days to
see what they can do.
In prayer Jesus took me to visit Our Lady. Jesus was the first to speak
to me and He began by saying, "Melvin, I love you and all my friends.
Let us go and visit Our Mother." I agreed enthusiastically and Jesus
took me to Our Blessed Mother's home. She welcomed us saying, "Greetings
Jesus and Melvin and welcome to my home. Let us sit here for awhile. The
Feast of Epiphany will be celebrated tomorrow. This feast brings back
many memories. I remember very well the arrival of the Magi, the three
wise men from the East. They had seen the star of Jesus' birth and had
followed it to Jerusalem and then to Bethlehem. What joy filled their
hearts when they saw the Infant Jesus. They knelt down and adored Him
They brought meaningful presents for the child and put them before Him.
These men were not Jews but Gentiles and this fact made known to us that
Jesus was the Saviour not only of our people, the Jews, but of all the
people in the world. He had come for every person. He is the Saviour of
every nation, of every race and of every ethnic group. Today Jesus'
followers can be found all over the world. However, many have refused to
accept Him as their Saviour including most of my people. The Father has
made Jesus the only Saviour of the world. He wants all people to believe
in Him and to obey His commands and walk with Him. May the people of the
world be converted before it is too late. I bless you all, my children.
Thank you Jesus and Melvin for your visit."
We read in the Gospel about the Magi only at the time of Jesus' birth.
We do not know what happened to them after their visit. Yet this visit
was significant to show that Jesus came for all of us. The Eastern
Church especially the Orthodox Church celebrates Christmas on the Feast
of the Epiphany when Jesus manifested Himself to the world. Epiphany can
be called the Christmas of the Gentiles. Tomorrow let us accompany the
Magi to the stable in Bethlehem and adore the Christ child with them.
Let us renew our faith in Him and place ourselves under His rule. Let us
promise to follow Him every day in 2002 and let us ask for His grace to
do so. May His Kingdom come in our hearts and may it spread throughout
the world.
Today I have the French Mass at Palmer Road at 4 pm. May the Lord bless
you on the day of His manifestation which is the Feast of Epiphany.

Many have sent me emails, saying they did not receive this important
message. I was having difficulties with my Anti Virus Software for a
few days - that could have been the problem. Therefore I'm resending
it. Thank you for your understanding. Note today's message also. Rita
