Celine Dion would have been aborted!
Daily Catholic
Celine Dion credits Parish Priest for keeping her afloat in the womb in light of the fact her mother had thought of aborting the Canadian singer
Just think, Celine Dion, the lady who made famous the song "My Heart will go on" in the movie "Titanic", might not have been allowed a heartbeat had not her parish priest in Canada firmly counseled Celine's mother when she was contemplating an abortion. Celine was the 14th child in the family and her mother expressed fears to the priest about being able to support another child. The priest's counsel was obeyed and she was born on March 30, 1968 in Charlemagne, Quebec, a suburb roughly thirty miles east of Montreal, Canada. From the age of five she realized a special God-given talent to sing and this translated to her brother submitting a recording to a man who ran a studio in Canada in 1980. That man Rene Angel'lil eventually became her husband and today she and Rene strive to promote Catholic principles to all. For more, see Universal News
The Holy Father will NOT resign!
Daily Catholic
Memo to liberals and modernists: Pope Resigning? In your dreams!
Holy Father will continue until God deigns Pope's mission is over, not man according to Pope's chief spokesman
Any thoughts of slowing down, even of resigning are wishful thinking in liberal camps for Pope John Paul II will indeed continue to lead the Catholic Church with the same intensity he did during the Holy Year, the Pope's chief spokesman Dr. Joaquin Navarro-Valls said, during an interview with the EFE news agency. Navarro-Valls, head of the Vatican Press Office, said that the Pontiff continues with all the plans he hoped to implement when his pontificate began; he is very tenacious and when anyone suggests that the activities planned might be tiring and harmful to his health, his response is automatic and not without irony: "I will soon have time to rest." The Moon Blood Red for 3 hr show!
Weekend News Today
Lead: faith

Wed Jan 10,2001 -- The moon appears blood red during the total lunar eclipse, seen adjacent to a Liver Bird statue atop the Liver Building in Liverpool, England on Tuesday. Europeans have had front row seats for a three-hour show billed as the most colourful lunar eclipse for a decade. Astronomers said the eclipse was particularly spectacular. Tuesday's show was visible from all parts of Europe, as well as Africa and Asia. The moon "turning to blood" was once seen as a sign that disaster would strike or that the gods were angry. In Iran tens of thousands braved freezing weather and gathered on rooftops in the capital Tehran as state radio and television called on Iranians to perform the ayat prayers, a Muslim ritual designed to marvel at the powers of God.
Editor's note: Acts 2:19-21 The Sun shall be turned into darkness, and the Moon into blood, before the Great and Notable Day of the Lord come. The blood red moon for a 3 hour show also reminds you of the most important event with Jesus shedding His blood on the cross for all our sins! Luke 23:43-45 Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise." It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two.
